Being aroace kinda sucked until I found that one fictional character that allowed me to feel these attractions freely for the first time ever..
Jason and Dick can argue but Bruce cannot jump in.
The minute he does, the argument turns from 1v1 to 2v1 real quick.
He doesnât get it.
Theyâre brothers.
Theyâve been going at each other since they were young.
Yeah the whole âJason came back mad af and started shit and that isnât coolâ thing happened but Dick can handle his brothers.
Heâs always been able to handle his first little brother.
crazy how people can get used to anything.
like, iâm stage manager for a show my arts school is doing, which is probably one of the best shows iâve ever seen. it involves van halen being played on electric violin, a battle of the bands - ranging from shoegaze/screamo to russian classical - and a segment for all of our singer-songwriters, featuring full ensembles and original songs, some being debuted live for the first time. itâs unbelievable that this is all being done by high schoolers. and yet-
some people are still saying itâs a bad show, that theyâre scared for it, that it wonât be good.
as a recent transfer student, iâm in total awe of everything i see there, including the stuff my friends say is bad.
because their âbadâ is my âphenomenal.â
i donât know how they can see what i see and turn up their noses at it. but i do understand what they mean now when they say âyouâre your own worst critic.â
because maybe your bad is someone elseâs phenomenal
I love you
I smile when you leave your dirty mug on my desk
and find your old laundry in the washer
the difference between irritation and endearment, I think, is unconditional love

Feeling loss of time from a traumatic childhood really catches up to you the older you get. It trickles down into everything. Would I be wealthier if Iâd done more growing up? If I had picked up an instrument and learned it better, if I had taken anything around me seriously, if I hadnât been a chronic insomniac from the age of 8 or less, would I have been mentally healthy enough to do anything more? Would I have less body problems if I hadnât been depressed all the time?
If if if, and it all stems like tree branches from one event to another. If this didnât happen, maybe Iâd be this way. If this didnât happen, maybe Iâd be healthier. If this, if that.
And of course, none of it really matters. Our childhoods arenât a death sentence or a stain on our livelihood. Existing isnât a competition. Youâre not less just because you havenât achieved everything you thought you might at ten years old. People change and grow and shit happens that you canât fix or rewrite and you adapt because you have to. False positivity might feel lacking, sure. But itâs not a bad thing. You wouldnât look little you in the face and tell them that life only gets worse from here on out, would you? If you would, I feel sorry for you. You deserve a lot more gentleness than that.
Intentions
Summary: When Tommy imagined spending time with Evanâs sister, heâd always imagined having Howie there as a buffer. Now that Howieâs illness has temporarily removed him from the equation, Tommy finds himself slightly intimidated having to interact with her one-on-one.

Prompt: "meeting the friends and family"
âI know you were at our wedding, but I donât feel like we really had an opportunity to talk, or get to know each other. It was such a chaotic day.â
âI figure all brides feel that way on their wedding day. Everyone you know shows up to celebrate you, but you donât have a chance to spend quality time with any of them?â
âThatâs true! I guess our wedding wasnât so unusual, after all!â
âI.. wouldnât go that far! It was pretty unique.â
âYouâre the one that tried to upstage the bride with your outfit!â
Tommy chuckled. âIt wasnât what I had planned.â
âThat feels like a theme between you and my brother.. the unexpected.â
Tommyâs palms began to sweat a bit. Was this where the conversation took a turn?
