Cody/Wooley, Kix/Rex, or Thire/Thorn? For the warmup requests
I'm doing all three of them :D
Cody/Wooley
For a shiny, Wooley sure is fierce. Not that shiny usually arenāt, but thereās something else about Wooley, something that draws Codyās attention: the kid is clever, more than people give him credit for, and heās brave and self-sufficient. Most shinies, especially at first, tend to flock together, or they seek the company of older, more experience soldiers, but not Wooley. It isnāt until Cody finds him alone, shaking and doing his best to keep away the tears, that he realizes that most of this is only a faƧade: Wooley doesnāt want to be a weight, doesnāt want to depend on anyone, but that leaves him alone and without support. Maybe itās because he reminds Cody of his younger self, of the way he tried not to crack under pressure while also doing everything on his own, that he doesnāt hesitate to reassure Wooley that needing support doesnāt mean being a weight, and that especially he can come to him whenever he has one of these episodes; after all, it wouldnāt be the first time he has to comfort a vod. The way Wooley lights up immediately at Codyās words warms his heart, and itās then that he makes a decision: heāll do anything to keep that smile intact.
Rex/Kix
Itās quite funny that, for once, itās Kix the one in need of caring. Rex says funny only because heās got something as mild as a common cold, and not something life threatening - that wouldāve been the opposite of funny. He has to say, though, heās quite disappointed to see that Kix is following Coricās orders to a t; he was really hoping that heād get to pull the ādoctorās ordersā card on him at least once, but he supposes that, out of anyone, Kix knows how he should be acting when ill. At least this means that heāll recover faster, which is good considering that Rex hasnāt been able to kiss Kix the way he wants to for a while. Germs and runny noses arenāt really a problem for him, but Kix insists, lest he gets sick too. What an absolute injustice!
Thire/Thorn
Itās weird to see strait-laced Thire drunk - well, not exactly drunk, but pleasantly buzzed, as heād say - but Thorn canāt say heās averse to the sight. The man needs to liven up his life a bit. This has absolutely nothing to do with the fact that Thireās resting his head on Thornās lap, nor the fact that heās letting him pet it, not at all. Not that Thire isnāt an affectionate person, mind you, itās just that Thorn is a very physical person, but sometimes, despite his best efforts, he can be overwhelming. That thought almost makes him stop, but the content look on Thireās face is enough to make him continue. After all, a few cuddles never hurt anyone, didnāt they?
