Martin had never been one for fancy events. Especially not dances. But since Amon was hosting one, she might as well go, right? Especially since Rei was coming…
Martin put on a suit, not feeling comfortable enough in a dress quite yet, and for once, cracked a smile seeing herself. She grabbed her deck and Duel Disk, just in case something went wrong and she needed it, and headed to the Obelisk dorms where the party was being held.
It was absolutely extravagant, too; Martin almost felt out of place.
“MARTY!” Rei’s voice came as a surprise to Martin, and her hug came as even more of a surprise. “Marty, you look so cute!”
Martin blushed a little, averting her eyes. “Thank you, Rei…”
Rei was wearing a suit, as well, her hair done up into a bun.
“So- So do you, Rei…” Martin mumbled shyly. Rei squealed in delight in response.
“Shall we dance, Marty?” Rei asked playfully, holding her hand out for Martin to take. Martin took it gently, letting Rei lead her to the dance floor. Martin couldn’t take her eyes off of Rei, wondering how she managed to make such a gorgeous friend, when they started to dance.
“I love you, Marty!” Rei said, holding Martin close, trying to slowdance with her. Martin flushed.
“You what…..?”
“I love you!!” Rei repeated, beaming.
Martin fidgeted with her sleeve a little as she pulled herself closer to Rei.
“I love you too, Rei…”
