I was looking for photos of girls with bigger noses, cause don’t y’all get tired of the same face over and over around Pinterest and Instagram? Can we just celebrate bigger noses?? In fact, I was looking for big noses AND thin lips, but turns out you can only have one. Pinterest has NO interest in showcasing women who have both, so just pick one and “fix” the other. Also, let’s talk about the fact that when you search for big nose girls, a lot of “before” images come up. Like, wtf? And thin lips, the only results that come up is how to make your lips look fuller. . I know, I know. Pinterest just follows the trends. People are the ones who put the content in there. But, damn. That is concerning. Aren’t you concerned? . I never thought I had as many ugly features as these days. And I grew up pretty much feeling quite unattractive, which was (still is) the norm. But now, this current beauty standard just tells you straight what is wrong with your appearance (and how you to fix it, just search the number of teenagers having fillers - swipe). And even though I’m older and wiser, I sometimes fall into the trap of self hatred and hunting for flaws. Fuck that. Young girls will turn out such unhappy grown women with extremely low self-esteem, and that is exactly society’s plan.
