New Calyx video dropped!
Would love to hear your thoughts. I watched the original video and there was some misinfo about Calyx. Kudos to Stout for redoing the video with the correction within a day.
The only thing I disagree with is Calyx never being told "no." 7.5 tells us otherwise, that the government forced him to make a copy of Sphene's memories into an Endless, something he is very against doing. So, while yes, he was the leader of a cult-like organization that revered him to a scary degree, there were even he couldn't control about Preservation. But, that's a small thing and doesn't really change much of Stout's overall take. It's still true that Calyx mostly got to do whatever he wanted, and we can see that plainly throughout Alexandria today.
I also agree that the fact that Calyx is so "divisive" means he's a well-written/interesting villain. Better to be talked about than not talked about at all. If everyone agreed about a character, they'd probably be boring as hell.
