if you put your ear up to a hornet nest, you can hear the hornets inside. from the sounds that you receive, if you have remarkably good hearing and audio processing, you could perhaps make out the individual hornets in the nest; their locations and maybe even their activities. it is theoretically possible to tell based on this information the shape and internal structure of the nest. with enough time spent listening to and studying the sounds of hornets' nests, I imagine this skill would naturally develop. however I do not recommend this course of action

i cannot help but feel an overwhelming sadness as this tour comes to end.. something i feel like i’ve been waiting for forever is finally coming to an end and my heart aches and wishes to hold on to it forever. i’m so so proud of hobi for how hard he’s worked and how much love he’s given us these last few months. just getting to be there made me realize how special this show truly and see how much love he put into it to show us who he is as an artist.
i’ve had the time of my life following along with him through fanvids and lives and tiktoks and even hope_to messages. in a way, this era has healed me immensely and the loneliness and dread i felt while waiting for him in the military was gone. he makes me feel less alone, the reason my heart beats a little beat louder. my mantra/way of life became “focus on hobi” when shit got a little too much and that anchored me to the ground. i could have never imagined i would have the opportunity to see him perform twice and even got to see him up close and MEET him. even though the selfish grieving part of me wished to see him more times, i will always hold onto my moments with him and am super thankful that they happened. i will always love him purely and endlessly, thank you and ily hobi (maybe a little too much and idk what to do with it sometimes) 💗
while i am sad, i’m looking forward to what we have in store with ot7 now and can’t wait to see how they’ve grown together as a group 🥺
i’ve noticed (predominantly on tiktok - moreso commenters than creators but whatever) the acotar fan base has this issue where they make these characters who have canon personalities & development and completely erase it to make them into a borderline oc. think tamlin, lucien, gwyn, elain. all made into people they’re not.
tamlin is made sympathetic, lucien is made helpless, elain is made into a mean girl & gwyn is the innocent who can do no wrong (or worse she’s the helpless victim to elain’s mean girl). it is absolutely misogyny and it’s fucking crazy.
i’m fucking sick of it. yeah, maybe gwyn is an innocent, but elain is in no way a mean girl nor is gwyn her victim (nor would she ever be lol). you can sympathise with tamlin, but he still mistreated feyre & people are allowed to hate him. same as lucien. lucien is not a helpless baby, he is a 500 year old fae male. he can handle a little rejection. (& no, elain’s inevitable rejection of him is NOT her being mean! grow up!)

I could probably analyze that, talk about how both the cage and the freedom to fly hurt the bird in the end and about how those extreme ends of a spectrum share a common middle ground in never feeling like enough or feeling like you can't be your authentic self and maybe your authentic self really doesn't exist on any plane and I could question why people who indulge separately in those two extremes often find comfort within each other but I'm too tired to do any of that
Robin! Jason Todd & Dick Grayson being nice to each other/knowing each other: a compilation
Okay so I dislike Batman fanon just as much as the next girlie, but I’ve noticed that recently there’s this idea that Dick and Jason interacting and being friendly/on good terms pre Jason’s death is fanon-y, or that Dick hated Robin!Jason and I gotta say that it is straight up untrue.
We’re Dick and Jason the closest? No. Did Dick like Jason at first? No, he was kind of a prick, but the majority of his resentment (not all, but most) was directed at Bruce. Dick and Jason ended up getting along and were at LEAST friends during the times we get to see them interact outside of their first meeting. Here are my panels:

Dick is being a bitch here (I also think that it’s interesting for Red Hood!Jason to maybe remember Dick as more of an angry person than other bat-heroes may see him, but that’s a post for another time). Not much to say about this one except yeah they did not get along to begin with. I do think that it’s interesting that he throws Batman in Jason’s face here.
Okay so here are some Nightwing: Year One panels and I have to say I adore this comic. Dick approved of Jason in his internal monologue and there’s some light-hearted teasing.
How could I make a Robin Jason and Dick post without the ski trip (?) Polaroid? I think this is really forgotten about a lot, and even though the art is horrifying to look at, it gives us more insight into Dick’s relationship with Jason while he was Robin. I really think that even if Dick was a distant somewhat brother figure to Jason, this panel shows that they at least liked each other to take a picture together (a picture that Dick labeled and kept!) while Jason was alive. And maybe even have gone on a trip together (though that is speculation) depending on what the context of this picture is.
These panels are a little funny to me because of Jason’s elf suit. But anyways, I do really like them. I think these show the “getting over it” idea, Dick burying the hatchet and moving on, and Jason understanding why Robin is important to Dick and even trying to find a different name to fight crime under. Dick telling Jason “it’s okay.” And passing on the torch telling Jason that he earned it. I love these panels.
I’m not really sure how many times Dick has given Jason his suit but there isn’t much more to say that wasn’t said in the last photo set—other than Dick giving Jason his number and the advice. (And specifically telling him that he’s available to talk)
These panels are good too, and solidify their friendliness while implying familial ties too. (Dick referring to Bruce as “the old man”) These also speak to Dick recognizing Jason’s skill and help with Dick’s rescue.
Lastly (for this post)…there’s this page. I really think that Dick’s reaction to Jason’s death does speak to their relationship. Albeit a distant one, it was positive for the majority of the time that Jason was Robin. I’ve seen people use this panel and claim that Dick is more so reacting to “someone he gave his mantle to” dying than to someone he felt close to, or even knew, but I have to disagree. Maybe they weren’t the closest, but Dick has every reason to react this way.
I’ve seen it said that Dick’s reaction to Jason’s death is the only evidence that they were friends (still legally brothers). But I really just do not buy it. I do think that Jason’s death became a guilt-well for Dick, but I do not think that his guilt is the only reason he reacted like this to Jason’s death; especially not with all of the evidence for the contrary right there in the source material.

Ok so the plot of Madagascar 2 is the gang going to Africa. This is a parallel to the trip through America. Here’s where it gets interesting. In Africa Alex reconnects with his family. He gets a sense of identity. Conflict later comes with his friends he has known forever and this family. The pride uses this rift against Alex so they can sacrifice him. Alex is more than his destiny of being yeeted into a volcano. BAZ IS ALEX HE IS A LION!! Some people interpret lamb as a potential love triangle dealio but I think Lamb is the pride. He gives baz his first look into who and what he is but then uses it to his advantage.
