I would slap on scars, gaping wounds, a third eye, a fourth eye, and a shrunken head necklace and then.........
I WALK AMONGST THE OTHER KIDS.
Our childhood was way better than yours. We teetered on the brink of old and new at breakneck speed. Somehow we lived without computers. Mom would drop you off at these new-fangled things called "bands" and tell you to just be sure and be home by Monday.
And then there were these things. Hot metal molds, bottles of gooey plastic poured into them, long electrical cords, and thee. We were the last generation to truly taste freedom and danger.
Now it's too late. Safety rules.
