I was able to grab this early John Williams soundtrack which usually costs about $400 at a fair price.
“Cinderella Liberty” (1973) is a movie by Mark Rydell, the director who pushed John Williams into film music, even before Steven Spielberg started his unparalleled creative partnership with the maestro. (It was the score for Rydell’s movies “The Reivers” and “The Cowboys” that convinced a very young Spielberg, still in his early twenties, Williams was the right symphonic composer for his movies.)
This soundtrack takes you back to Williams’ youth as a jazz pianist known as “Johnny” Williams. (George Lucas of the “Star Wars” movies calls the composer “Johnny” to this day - even in writing - but I honestly couldn’t tell you why. (A term of endearment?) He’s definitely the only Hollywood figure to do so.)
In this score, Williams does what he also did in his soundtrack for the Spielmeister’s first feature “The Sugarland Express”: (1974): he makes use of the Belgian harmonica genius Toots Thielemans to break your heart!

Toots Thielemans plays the harmonica on "Quiet Evenings", a piece of music film composer Dave Grusin wrote for the soundtrack of the Sidney Pollack movie "Bobby Deerfield". (Has Al Pacino as principal actor.)
I was looking through my albums and found my 'Harmonicaholic, part 2". There's a song on this album that I composed back in 2010, called "TOOTSODE" especially written for Toots. I thought it would be nice at this moment to share it with you, in honor of our master. Hope you enjoy it.
