If you're thinking about going to school to get a better job...

There is a government agency called the Department of Rehabilitation. The website for those in California is https://dor.ca.gov/ Some states call it vocational rehabilitation services. Just google your state and the department of rehab and it should pop up.

This is a government program that helps people with disabilities find employment OR helps students under the age of 21 gain experiences towards employment.

This means that if you are disabled (mentally or physically), and can offer some kind of documentation for it, like a hospitalization, medications, therapist contact info, 504 plan, IEP, etc. then you can get MONEY for vocational training like grad school, coding bootcamps, trade schools, etc. They will pay for your tuition, parking passes, textbooks, any additional required fees or supplies for education, and they even provide me with gas money to get to and from school. The case worker has also said that they will provide you with a laptop, PC, or iPad once during your case with them (at around a thousand dollars of cost).

This is NOT A LOAN. This is FREE MONEY. You never ever have to pay them back. You just have to get decent grades and send them syllabi and transcripts once in a while.

If you don't know what you want to do, they can help you with assessments or aptitude tests to see what you might be good at. They also provide resume services and interview stuff but I haven't tried that yet.
