It was three days before Gundhams birthday, Sonia was running around the island trying to find the perfect gift for her boyfriend, she was missing out on free time with him but she was determined to find that gift and make him smile. Meanwhile Gundham was in his cottage waiting for his Queen of Darkness to arrive but she never did, he didn’t understand why she didn’t come to visit him during free time but he thought nothing of it, “Probably attending to her royal duty, I shouldnt think too much of it” he said while grooming the all powerful Cham-P’s fur. The search wasn’t going incredibly well for Sonia so she decided to ask Souda for his help. “Please Souda ive looked high and low but cannot find him a gift! I fear that he may not like it if i forgot…” Souda simply blinked twice in disbelief thst Sonia was asking him of all people to find a gift for Gundham, as he did not like him all too much, “Fine I’ll do it, I’ll be sure to find the best gift” Sonia stood and smiled widely, “Thank you Souda!” and hugged him before skipping over to Gundham’s.
The next day Souda met up with Sonia to give her Gundham’s present so she could wrap it up. He handed her a small glittery box, Sonia took the lid off to see that inside was a pair of small heart earrings. “Um, Souda? Are you quite sure that Gundham would like this gift?” she said with a worried expression on her face, “Yeah of course he’s gonna like it! See in Japan these are considered to be objects of the underworld or something like that or whatever…” Sonias eyes lit up after hearing what Souda had said and let out a huge smile. “Why thank you Souda! Thank you for finding the perfect gift for Gundham!” she said while hugging him. “Oh. Its err nothing dont worry about it…” Souda stood there sheepishly rubbing the back of his neck while Sonia hugged him. “Well! I should take my leave and go to Gundham’s to give him this wonderful gift! Thank you Souda once again!” Sonia parted ways and skipped towards Gundham’s cottage.
Gundham heard a knock at his door, he knew it was Sonia as he could see her golden blonde hair from outside the window. He opened the door and said “What brings you to my realm on this day of all days my queen of darkness?” Sonia smiled widely and held the neatly wrapped box infront of his face “Happy Birthday Gundham!” she said in a sing-song voice. “I want you to be extra happy today so please accept my gift!” Gundham couldn’t help but blush, he hid his face in his scarf and left her inside his cottage. “M-My queen you did not have to purchase me anything on this mortals celebration…” She turned and looked at him “But my dear i must have! Its considered polite and caring that i remebered your birthday and brought you something to show I love you deeply!” Gundhams fave reddened at every word she said, he was not used to such kindness. “F-Fine my queen…I shall open your gift in an act ofgratitude towards your..thoughtfulness.” He reached for the box and Sonia smiled when he touched it, He carefully unwrapped it and openened the box to see the pair of bright pink heart earrings. “M-My queen? What are these..things?” Sonias face dropped slightly and said “T-Theyre supposed to be objects of the underworld according to Souda! I-I thought you would like them..” Gundham couldnt stand to see Sonia sad, even though the gift was odd and ddint make a lot of sense he still accepted them and nodded “Yes of course my queen. How could I have not realised sooner that these are the essence of demons hearts forged into a dark charm…Thank you my queen for bringing me such a gift” The smile immeadiatly grew back on Sonias face and she hugged him, he was hesitant to hug back as his blood was toxic but he let her enjoy herself. “I’m so glad you liked them Gundham! I promise next year to get you an even better gift!” and it was that simple phrase that made Gundham smile and slowly wrap his arms around her pulling her closer. “Youve no need my queen but thank you…”
