Dragons and felines! š
I see what you did there! XDDragons: What makes you feel powerful, what breathes life into you?
Ooh⦠This is so much harder to answer than I would have expected. I suppose sometimes small/silly things like convincing somebody to do something my way, and having my method of doing X, Y, or Z turn out well ā that can feel pretty powerful. (Beyond just āwhat should we have for dinner?ā scenarios. e.g. Being allowed to take the lead on a work project to which you feel you have a lot to contribute or whatnot.)Ā I feel like that kind of thing is rarer than one would think (at least in my world).
Um⦠beyond that, I guess thereās also the rare occasion when I feel like Iāve had a long-term positive impact on somebody (or somebodies) else. Thatās a pretty good/powerful feeling. Even just making somebody smile can be great, especially if theyāre going through a hard time, but to me, the feeling tends to be about as fleeting/small (or as big/lasting) as the impact it seems to have. So ābriefly making somebody smileā vs.Ā āhelping somebody find a good jobā is lakes vs. oceans.
Felines: Something that makes you feel better after a hard day?
Literally my roommatesā cats. Theyāve decided they (really, really) like me, and will often beg for cuddles (while purring like tanks), which always makes me feel both loved and relaxed.Ā
On a bit of a more junky level, watching mindless TV often helps me get my mind off of things, too.
