One of these situations was personal, involved me being lied to more than once, and left me with no processing time on top of that. Why you’re even getting my opinions involved in the comparison is beyond me.

“For the last time I don’t know anything,” Damon said, almost bitterly as he tried to loosen the chains.

And he didn’t. When was the last time he even spoke with his brother? Elena was gone and he didn’t stick around to show how much it hurt him to see it.

“You expect me to believe that the self-proclaimed, ‘Man with the plan’ doesn’t know anything?” Now that was truly laughable, bringing the blade forward letting it rest against his skin as a warning.

First it was the eye thing, then the snarky remarks. Needless to say, he had always managed to find a way under her skin, even if right now it was due to the fact his eyes were piercing into her and sending a chill down her spine. “Why are you staring at me?”

“I was being serious,” Damon said with a glare, “I’ve been there. I know the signs to observe for.”

His mind wandered to Beth…she had a horrible early pregnancy.

“And Rebekah…I can hear something I shouldn’t.”

“Is it the sound of my thinning patience?” She snaps, wondering just what kind of game he was playing. 

Subconciously though, her hand rests on her stomach . . . it’s impossible.
