-decide to use a guy to release a genocidal maniac in a maybe overreaction to your parents and entire social circle getting sealed away from society and dying bc of an old dead man. (Also important note that you have preexistant beef with this guy bc you maaaay or may not have fucked up his life for an unspecified amount of time in your previous evil scheme.)

-get into a weird toxic yaoi situacionship with said guy.

-fumble horribly.

-die because of the aforementioned genocidal maniac that you released.

-get revived.

-find out said guy you fumbled is now GOD.

-proceed to clutch so hard that you manage to bag NOT ONLY the guy you fumbled but also his partner who is now basically the king of civilization???

what if you woke up all alone in the middle of an unfamiliar and hostile civilization with just your name and the knowledge that this is your fault, that you caused this and somehow, your friend, your best and oldest friend because you can't remember anyone else but him and his name and his face, and have to go on not ever knowing whether or not your friend is alive and or well. what if you rank up and find out that your friend, your first and only friend before the pro layer was a liar and a fraud, who wanted you to suffer for the crime of being born unskilled.

what if the only person who understands you and the feelings you have on your home is the guy who ruined your life by starving you and your neighbors and forcing you and them to suffer for what appeared to be forever/by getting rid of the only control you had left after tragedy by his own mentor's selfishness.

what if you had to stick together in one of your home layers (not that you can even say so, truth twists itself on your tongue so much, to where you don't even know if you can tell a truth) and stay together. what if you were both scared because you know what players like him can do (masters/champions). and because life hates you, you the lying one eventually comes to enjoy watching you go through your home, because at least this way, the first memory is almost true (allies are almost friends, aren't they?).

you watch him die and you don't grieve, because you grieved him too long enough on the noob layer to give him more of your time, but sometimes you wonder what it would be like, to have someone who understood what it felt like to lose everything, to lose your home due to another (even if he was your reason). he was the only one who could have understood, even if he didn't come all the way through to other logics like 'noobs don't deserve to starve', and now he's gone and you can't, won't bring him back because he already got his second chance.
