Mom's night at school. He asked me to the dance. First , he wanted a red bow tie. I just made him one with felt and a glue gun. And then he kissed me. â„ïžâ„ïžâ„ïž #thesir https://www.instagram.com/p/BtzVL4mgWlU/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=17htxc538ew31

Summary: The Sir most definitely got this burger right. Give it a bite.
Rating 8.8/10
The Burger: Itâs a thick one. There are five options of burgers on the menu. I went with the Classic: meat, lettuce, tomato, onion, and bun. I suggest ordering the burger medium. It actually came out that way. Kudos to the Sir for that. I find it rare, no pun intended, that restaurants actually get that right. Amazing, right? How hard can it be to make a burger to order? For the Sir, itâs first nature. The burger is not seasoned. It is juicy and delicious. I donât know what kind of meat they use, but it was great and full flavored. The bun was dough boy fresh. It was doughy, thick, and held up the whole way through the meal. The fixinsâ were all fresh and the right portion. I hate when thatâs off. Like when you bite into your burger and it tastes like a mouth full of onions with some burger on top. That didnât happen here. The Sir most definitely got this burger right. Give it a bite.
The Fries: Perhaps I should call them Sweet Potato Fries because thatâs what they were. First off, the helping I got was hefty. It was more than enough to satisfy the hunger of a grown ass man. I bit into them, and my mind went into a tail spin. They are super sweet and soft. Imagine this. Say you baked the sweet potato. Next, you took it and cut it into fry shapes. Then you baked those fries a little more, flash fried them for a millisecond, and let them take shape. Finally, what I thought was olive oil drizzle on top was honey. HONEY. Iâm not going to lie. Honey on sweet potato fries is brilliant. It wasnât a lot, but just enough to add a little sweetness to this game. RIP Walter Peyton. I digress. If you go there, which I know you will, get the sweet potato fries.
The Service: This was the first time a waiter addressed me in the following manner: âWhatâs Up Bro!?â I was like, âDamn. Itâs not even noon and Iâm being broâd.â Iâm kidding. But seriously. This waiter was actually fantastic. He was energetic and Johnny on the Spot with everything from our waters to the check. Awesome service there. Thanks bro.
The Ambiance: When you walk in, the bar is directly in front of you. To you right and left are high top tables with square top velvet covered stools. It has a very earthy and manly feel to it. There is a lot of exposed brick and enough wood in the place to build a small schooner. The main dining area is to your left and down a few steps after your walk in. Itâs got the same vibe just with larger chairs. Think the kind of leather chair a lawyer would be sitting in reading a brief or the one Daniel Day Lewis sits in to read books by the fire with a warm brandy. He does that. Trust me. I read it on a blog. Does that paint a picture? Hopefully youâll go check it out for yourself.
The Price: $12 even for my burger and sweet potato fries.
I was pleasantly surprised to find the Sir. It just goes to show you never know what youâre going to stumble upon in this crazy little world. Okay. Yeah. Thatâs not crazy at all. But still, itâs very exciting to find a new place youâve never heard of, eat there, and leave stuffed to the gills and happy as a clam.
Executive Summary: Sometimes executives need to man up and read the whole report.
The PBJB Burger: You interpreted that acronym correctly: this is a burger that features peanut butter and jelly alongside grilled cow flesh. Â Call me crazy, but this wasnât the first time Iâve tried a PB&J themed burger (and that one was really good, too). Â This burger features a cheddar cheese smothered patty sitting on a bed of shredded lettuce and topped with bacon and breaded and fried jalapenos. Â If that wasnât enough, the top half of the toasted bun is drizzled with jelly while the bottom half is spread over with smooth peanut butter. Â The meat is griddled (cooked on a flat surface) and while it didnât exactly stand out (I do recommend getting yours medium), it didnât have to - attention to detail is what sets this burger apart. Â The breaded and fried jalapenos were an unexpected surprise. Â They werenât too spicy, and their late hitting flavor and slightly crunchy texture was a tremendous complement to the sweetness of the jelly and the creamy texture of the peanut butter. Â One nit would be against the bacon, which I would have preferred cooked longer. Â As it was, it came off a bit limp and didnât do much for me. Â Once the patty is fully dressed, the chef places the burger in a press to give the burger a compressed or âsmashedâ look and warms up the entire burger (less evident on my burger because of the jalapenos - but itâs not hard to miss on others), and locks in flavor and juiciness. Â This technique has a wonderful effect on the peanut butter, thinning it out so you donât get bogged down with âpeanut butter mouth.â Â While I used the term âsmashed,â The Sirâsâ technique is very different from last weekâs smashed burger; regardless, itâs an impressive finishing touch that brings it all together. Â I imagine most peopleâs immediate reaction to this burger-sandwich power merger is to be a little grossed out. Â While thatâs understandable, the next time you have the opportunity, indulge your flair for adventure & youâll find that when done correctly, these ingredients have a more natural pairing than you might expect.
House Fries: Huge win for the program - if you just want some regular potato fries, they come fo free on the side of your burger order. Â They are straight cut and are lightly seasoned. Â They could have been crispier, but I canât complain too much.
The Service: The Sirâs team (there is a butler joke in there somewhere) is still in that âweâre new letâs do an awesome jobâ phase. Â From my vantage, the 2 guys who doubled as wait staff and bus boy were pretty active the whole time we were there. Â The service was prompt and our food came out without much of a hassle. Â They probably knew we were coming or something.
The Ambiance: Pretty similar to Ketchup to be honest, with the exception of some more wood paneling, different tables, and some lounge chairs sprinkled in. Â Our table had a cubby hole for our phones, etc., which was amazing. Â I canât recall ever seeing that before.
The Price: $12 for a burger, fries, and a water pre-tip. Â Frankly I canât really complain - considering all that the burger had on it I can see it easily commanding a much higher price at more a la carte driven eateries.
While I canât say that this burger displaces any of my current favorites, it definitely threatens as a Top 10 burger that weâve had so far. Â My only red flag was the limp bacon. Â Actually, there was one of those $0.75 kiddie-rides you sometimes see outside of malls or grocery stores right next to our table. Â I can see that being a MAJOR red flag if some screaming toddler is having the time of his life the next time I go. Â Be forewarned. Â Final Rating: 8.8/10.
