9. What’s your dream job?
I want to write, direct, and perform choral music, maybe all at the same time or maybe at different stages of my life.
26. Best thing that has ever happened to you?
It’s hard to remember if this was really truly the best thing, but when I was a junior in high school I had my first experience of writing a piece for a specific choir (my chamber choir director asked me to set something for us for a Shakespeare-themed concert) and just generally the rehearsal process, figuring out what I needed to change, performing it, and having the support and collaboration of all my friends from choir was really a great experience. I remember coming home from it and thinking, “well, that is something I could do for the rest of my life.”
