I honestly don't think anything happened between Dean and Benny. During that time in Purgatory, I think Dean would've been too focused on Cas to have a fling.
I really just saw them as friends. Maybe I just missed some subtext, but they felt like friends to me.

Spicy thought that may have been thought before, but in carry on all the prophecies about Simon. They’re talking about him destroying someone right? What if they’re not talking about the humdrum.

Like, sure, yes, it could have been about Simon destroying the humdrum (an echo of his magic?). OR it could be talking about the man who is the whole reason the humdrum exists. The humdrum isn’t a person it’s a manifestation, and yes Simon defeats it, but he kills the mage too.
