who needs breakfast when your husband is a whole ass meal

i’m throwing it all the way back to…last month for this one (theme 12: you’re under my skin)—mostly because i couldn’t make it this july🌷

hi ✨ i'm super excited about participating in my first @gallacrafts ! here's a punch needle piece i made on a 9" hoop! (the size seemed fitting 😇) details under the cut 🌟

“Mick, wake up.” Ian presses a soft kiss on Mickey’s forehead and rubs a soothing hand along Mickey’s arm. “Made you breakfast in bed.”

Mickey stirs awake with a groan and is immediately greeted by the sight of Ian’s goofy smile and the overwhelming smell of bacon and coffee. “It’s too early,” he mumbles, burrowing his head under the covers. “Sun’s not even out yet.” 

Ian cradles the side of Mickey’s cheek, brushing away stray strands of hair. “C'mon. Birthday breakfast for the birthday boy.” 

Mickey tilts his head up and blinks. “My birthday isn’t for another week.”

“Thought we’d celebrate today, since it’s the only day this month where we both have the entire day off.” Ian beams as he watches Mickey yawn and stretch out his limbs, leaning his back against the headboard. “I have the whole day planned out.”

Mickey smiles and pecks Ian on the nose. “Does the plan include birthday sex and blowjobs?”

“Duh,” Ian snorts. “But first,” he reaches over and sets the tray over Mickey’s lap, “breakfast. Gotta fuel up.”

Mickey picks up the fork and stabs a delicate slice of red tomato, no doubt freshly picked from the garden. “Did you…”

“Sprinkle some sugar on the tomatoes?” Ian grins. “Of course. Sweet, just the way my husband likes it.”

Mickey’s heart warms because even though they’ve been married for over a year now, he’ll never get tired of hearing my husband casually roll off Ian’s tongue.

They get to have this life now. Falling asleep and waking up together and having breakfast in bed. Birthdays and holidays and going out on dates. Love and affection and mutual respect, exchanging affirmations of forever and more. Everything two lost boys from the Southside never thought they could ever have, but found in each other.

One birthday down, a lifetime to go.

i chose the 11x04 scene - what has always interested me about that scene is how it shows us that ian and mickey are in fact keeping up with ian's care. i am always so curious about the work that goes into managing his disorder.

part of my own care includes a crisis plan. and included in that plan is what i call a "calm down countdown". it's meant to help me deescalate in moments where i might feel out of control. mine starts with "go for a walk" and, if the rest of the steps fail, it ends with "go to the hospital". so for this craft i thought of some things that be on ian's list, including hanging out with lip, talking to mickey, gardening, and getting fresh air/exercising. then i made some bracelets that represented those things - and i plan to give them to people on my own list. more details under the cut!

I didn't go for a re-do but rather a prequel/sequel to my first submission to the theme: "C'mere".

as much as we wanted the theme to be about mickey's luscious ass (straight to horny jail for all of you in the tags), we are excited to say that this month's theme comes straight from the brain of our collectively beloved chrissy @you-are-so-much-better-than-that…

i’m very excited about participating in this month’s @gallacrafts because i first joined in april, so i’ve missed quite a lot! when i was in my lurker era, i came across a theme in particular that caught my eye and i’ve always wanted to do something with it.

i chose theme 8: stargazing, i kinda interpreted it in the form of a painting and turned our boys into van gogh’s ‘starry night’ (+ the iconic stargazer lilies) ⭐️💫✨

one year ago today, i shared my very first installment of gallawitchcraft ✨ & dipped my toes into this fandom pool. what's transpired over the past 365 days has been nothing short of magic.

SO. since this month's a #throwback theme, i decided to check in on my lil journey here & pull cards from the same deck that i used last year. wouldn't you know? 2 of the 3 cards are the fucking same!

& they say magic ain't real.... 🖤
