The Manhattan Project: Energy Empire. Well hot damn! This game is superb! Let’s list a few things that I love... ⚡️ 🏗🏙🎛💰⚙️📈📉👷🏼♂️👩🏾🏫👩🏻🏭👨🏿🔬👩🏽🔬 1) Every decision counts. 2) The turns flow super quickly. 3) It’s easy to learn. 4) The worker placement aspect is amazing (seriously, the stacking mechanism is genius). 5) Urm... energy..? ⚡️📉👷🏼♂️👨🏿🔬👩🏽🔬👩🏾🏫💰👩🏻🏭📈⚙️🎛🏙🏗 The basic premise of this game is that you represent the interests of your chosen nation, building a relationship with the UN, building up your empire and cleaning up any pollution that this advancement causes (or not, if that’s what you’re going for). Players take turns by choosing one of two actions, work or generate. By choosing to work, you first place one of your workers on a space on the board (if another worker/s is/are already there, even your own, you must place enough energy tokens underneath your new worker to make the stack higher than the previous stack to use that space #gamemechanics) and take that action, then you can activate any buildings you own matching that spaces colour. If you choose to generate, you retrieve all your workers, roll some dice, and gain new energy tokens and perhaps pollution on your environment track, ready to start your next work phase! On top of this, there are event cards that trigger at the end of each round, which feel really natural and keep the game exciting for everyone! 💰👩🏻🏭📈👷🏼♂️⚡️👨🏿🔬🏗🎛👩🏾🏫👩🏽🔬🏙📉 Wow, what a great experience this game is. It really does feel that every choice you make is your own.
