"Hi there... sorry for the bother, ma'am." The giant of a man stands uncharacteristically timid outside Edeth's bar after knocking. Both in a physical sense as well as outside the normal business hours. Bit early for drinking anyway. She likely recognizes him from the previous night. An enthusiastic drinker and happy to share stories with other patrons who had been present. After playing a game of pool and paying his tab he'd left without incident.
"I'm Dogi, I was here last night? I think I left something inside, an old medallion from a buddy. Did someone happen to pick it up? Or can I check to see if I can find it?"
Edeth has been spending most of her days getting ready for the nights as of late. Though the knock on her door isn’t too unfamiliar the visitor certainly was; she was used to debt collectors, tax men and the odd folks who can’t seem to stay away. Frozen in her steps the woman stared blankly at the man. Of course she would remember him, who wouldn’t? Though last night she was far too busy serving patrons left and right. Now seeing how big he really is was slightly intimidating. She snaps herself out of this trance, it was rude to stare after all considering she was a mess, unkept hair and clothes. Edeth was normally alone while preparing for the business hours after all. She smiles brightly and straightens her clothing.
“O-Oh! I’m so sorry I didn’t see anything like that. You’re welcome to check if you don’t mind I’m still cleaning and getting ready.” Half truth. She hadn’t even started cleaning from the night before due to priorities, the smell of meats and vegetables roasting and being prepared in the far off kitchen wafted throughout the building. The woman opens the door, stepping aside. “Come in, mister Dogi. Please call me Edeth, sorry for the mess again. Do you remember where you last had it on your person in here?”
