If only it was simpler, something like meeting them would give you your shadow. But no, the gods must have thought that would be too easy. They had to love you. They had to be your soulmate and they had to love you for everything that you were. 

His mother liked to lament that if someone met their soulmate, they would likely love them anyway. That’s why they were called soulmates. But Shikamaru didn’t see how it could be treated so simply.

Gudetama: are you an early bird or a night owl?

So I am a night owl, through and through, but annoyingly I have a hard time sleeping in late so lately I am up til like 2 am and then awake again at 7 am. When I so try and go to bed at a good time? (and by good I mean 11) I wake up at 3 and cant get back to sleep. Needless to say bedtime and I have some issues. 

My Melody: what’s your current favourite song?

ShikaIno is one of those ships I don’t mind on principle, but in practice I find them very boring. Now if you add a third one to the party... that’s another story. I really like InoShikaCho and I ship InoShikaSaku a lot too. But on its own, it’s not really my cup of tea.

I really like it! I’m not going to actively look for GaaNaru content, but I’ve read a couple of fics on them, wrote one myself, and overall, it’s probably my favourite ship with Naruto

Well I mean that’s cheating, I’ve written like at least three fics about them already, although each time Sakura was also a part of the ship. I even drew fanart for them!! SMUTTY FANART my dude! I guess when it’s just the two of them I’m not as interested but I think they make a great couple. Add Sakura to the mix and you’ve got one of my top 5 OT3

I really really really like this one. We really need more of it. I’m writing a multichapter about them, I think they’re a fantastic couple with a lot of possibilities. Not an OTP but it’s a really good ship and even if I wouldn’t go looking for it, I enjoy it when I see it!

2. Sexual orientation

Sexual orientation is such a complicated question for something with only two words, lol! I’m heterosexual. But I’m demisexual/demiromantic leaning towards asexual/aromantic, and I’m sexually attracted to non-physical things. Like someone’s voice (especially when they sing), wit (especially when it’s dry), passion (about anything. I had a crush on my chemistry professor because he was just so into NMR—Nuclear Magnetic Resonance, where you blast molecules with a nuclear magnetic field, and based on the absorption patterns recorded by the machine, can identify what atoms the molecule contains, and even where they are positioned in relation to each other, allowing you to identify the molecule. I would have found his class boring if it wasn’t for his unbelievable passion). I’m not sure it has a proper label, but I’m not really interested in labels either. And I also prefer the idea of relationships over being in them. Although I do like being in relationships (mostly for the non-awkward cuddling. I need platonic cuddling to be a thing, seriously. I miss grade school—even high school—where I could link arms with someone and take a nap on their shoulder without them thinking I was hitting on them) but it takes me a really long time to get to that point with someone. And that someone has to be reeeeeaaalllllyyyy persistent. So I find poly relationships work better for me, mostly for my partner’s sake, because I go so slowly and feel so guilty about dragging things on (for years and years and years you don’t even know how long it takes to date me lol). And the mental thing very very occasionally outweighs the gender part on the romantic side, but not the sexual. But I’ve found that to be pretty rare, so I don’t really consider myself bisexual. Maybe heteroflexable? Idk, there’s too many terms in this world and I don’t really care for classification systems. I am what I am.

18. Where would you like to live?

I actually love where I am now, for a permanent thing. But I would love to travel and live in different places for a year or two. I wanted to do my PhD in London, or San Francisco, but idk if that’s going to happen. I’ve been to Berlin and it’s pretty great, and so is Stockholm. I wouldn’t mind living in any of those places if I couldn’t live where I am now. Well, maybe not SF with all the politics going on now lol, but def the other places. Send me to a big city and I’ll probably be fine as long as it’s not too hot/humid. I can’t deal. I’m interested in going to Japan, and the idea of living there is intriguing, but I’ve never been so I couldn’t tell you if I’d actually like to live there.

22. Your plans for the summer?

Hmm…I haven’t thought about it much! I usually go visit my brother, but my parents are talking about going on a family trip to the “homeland” with my aunts, uncles, cousins, and grandparents, so idk? Maybe Florida if not that, because my grandparents are a little to obsessed with it, and they really want to go on a huge family trip “before it’s too late” (they’re so morbid omg). Otherwise, more of the same!
