The Haters by Jesse Andrews “Wes, Corey, and Ash flee from Jazz Band Camp and set out to play their own shows” Here’s some typical dialogue - f-bomb, f-bomb, penis joke, penis joke, f-bomb, penis joke, music reference There are more f-bombs than a Tarantino movie. Only makes the book even more sophomoric and just stupid. There are moments where you think the characters are about to have some epiphany, but no...just more of the same. I thought Andrews other book was okay (Me and Earl and the Dying Girl) But this book is awful and unrealistic. Unless you are one of the fourteen middle school boys that actually reads, ignore this one. I listened to the audiobook and the book formatting doesn’t translate well to audio.
