Chief Mod Edgeworth: He kinda was one in Farewell my Turnabout. What makes him tricky is that he's never caught and there are times when he will side with the MC.

What I'd find interesting is if Shelly de Killer was accused and arrested for an assassination he never committed and Phoenix Wright has to defend him.

Co-Mod: I doubt that taking him down as a culprit would be much of a challenge (considering his own name is practically a confession), unless he were in disguise. (A convincing disguise, that is.)

In that scenario, I'd imagine Phoenix, Athena and Edgeworth (or Apollo, if he decided to come back by then) having to form a lawyer triumvirate in order to finally put an end to the de Killer line.

Taking him down in a physical fight would be another story, though. We don't see much of that in Ace Attorney (unless you count Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 as canon), so I'm not sure exactly how it would go, but I'd still be down for it if Capcom wanted to do it that way.

Chief Mod Edgeworth: A crack is different because Maya's comment could be taken as her acknowledging what happened in PLvsPW intentionally or coincidentally.

However, keep in mind that when we mods have the characters break the 4th wall, we don't do it all the time. Second, we have the 4th wall breaking be subtle to where it could be taken as the characters knowing or not knowing. This isn't a character pulling a Deadpool or Pinkie Pie, but something like, "Hey, I'd bet your court cases are like a game." We might see the 4th wall break, but the characters can remain oblivious because it could be taken as a metaphor.

So yes, it's fine if you're just chiseling the 4th wall a bit so long as you're not pulling a Deadpool or Pinkie Pie. Well... okay, if you're writing a letter as Deadpool, Pinkie Pie, Gwenpool, Bat Mite, Superboy Prime or even She Hawk, I'll take that. Breaking the 4th wall is in their character, BUT it has to be broken within the rules and confines of the shows, movies or comics they do it in. Each of them have their own fourth-wall-breaking rules that they each must abide to in order for them to exist as characters without breaking the story or magic of the story.

Chief Mod Edgeworth: It's fine. But also, as I've said to Dawsongfg, if it's only a chisel or you're writing a letter as a wall-breaking character like Deadpool, we will except it so long as they are following the rules within the confines of whatever media they're in.

Like if that letter was from Deadpool, you would likely get away with a letter like that. Superboy Prime, though, you might be limited because he believes he and his world are the real deal. You could treat any other universe besides his own as fictional stories that exist as comic books in his world, but you can't be like, "I've read Superboy Prime Metal Secret Origin and you were talking to your parents about this and that." Even fourth wall breakers are limited to the confines of the fictional world they exist in. Without those confines, the magic of the story is broken and just like a bad fart joke, it's going to stink.

Apollo Justice trilogy is eh. You can ask whatever questions, but do expect them to take a while to answer. I have school (will be going back next year in the Fall for my bachelor), so I have to decrease the letters coming in to six letters a day.

Co-Mod: I've been doing okay overall, thanks! There have been a few new faces, as you can see from all the Mod hashtags, but it's mostly just been me and Chief Mod Edgeworth answering letters. The other Mods are dealing with IRL stuff.

I haven't had a chance to play the Apollo trilogy yet, mostly because I'm currently addicted to PowerWash Simulator, but I'm eager to get into it at some point and share my thoughts.

Chief Mod Edgeworth: It's more than three months now, but it's because the blog has been posting six letters a day since I started going to college. It's far too busy for me to do 12. Maybe once I find the time in my day.

Any clients we took are on a list that we can choose on our own time, so I'm not loaded with Apollo's work.

Though, I do feel for Apollo over there.

Unfortunately, Trucy seems to target me to be her guinea pig for her shows.

I try to make sure my team never feels overwhelmed by work. So, Athena is doing fine.

I wish Apollo the best of luck. I can speak from experience that running your own office by yourself isn't easy.
