Wanted to document the fact that I crocheted a croissant! This took me much longer than expected x.x
I referenced from the pattern (linked at the bottom of the post), but I really didn't want to make a separate top piece so i modified the pattern.
Round 1: Work 6 sc into a magic circle. (6)
Round 2: Work 1 inc, then 5 sc. (7)
Round 3: Work 1 inc, then 6 sc. (8)
Round 4: Work 1 inc, then 7 sc. (9)
Round 5: Work 1 inc, then 8 sc. (10)
Round 6: Work [1 inc, 4 sc] 2x around. (12)
Round 7: Work 1 inc, 4 sc, inc, 1 sc, inc, 4 sc. (15)
Round 8: Work [inc, 4 sc] 3x around. (18)
Round 9: Sl st 1 round on Round 8
Round 10: Work 6 sc, hdc, hdc inc, 1 hdc, hdc inc, 1 hdc, hdc inc, hdc, 5 sc. (21)
Round 11: Work 6 sc, 9 hdc, 6 sc. (21)
Round 12: Work 3 sl st, 3 sc, 9 hdc, 3 sc, 3 sl st. (21)
Round 13: Work 3 sl st, 6 sc, 3 hdc, 6 sc, 3 sl st. (21). Fastern off.
Make another piece with the above steps, and attach (sew) the 2 pieces together with mattress stitch.
I freehanded the top piece by using sl st to do the outline of the shape I want, then starting with sc on one end, create the shape of the top piece that I want by inc and invdec accordingly, and instead of doing sc all the way, I took a short cut by using dc at the widest area. After a flap was created, I sewed it down onto the sl st outline.
