Hmmm, in less obvious news, Damir and Eir both are really fond of birds. Eirien makes friends with corvids mostly, but Damir prefers songbirds. (In the ultimate happy AU with @graciessocksdrawer he still ends up with a corvid as a friend/nuisance lmao; he loves the thing a lot). It was and is very possibly a Circle thing tbh.
