I watched that interview with Dr. Aslan! By the third question I was laughing really hard at how his EXTREMELY well-voiced thoughts were failing to reach his interviewer's ears, but then I just got really mad. When he did get to talk about his book it sounded brilliant and I was thinking TELL ME MORE, but no, apparently it was a better use of time to question his validity as a religious scholar...worried about bias? There was one biased person in that interview and it wasn't Reza Aslan.
ugh, exactly. i wanted to hear about his book, a lot actually! but no, instead all we got were ignorant, pressing questions and the interviewer’s blatant insistence on not listening to him while he basically had to defend himself the entire time
i mean, this guy reads biblical greek. biblical greek!!! he should be getting respect and accolades for his 20 years of study and 4 degrees, and instead he has to deal with this bullshit

I’m more of half-disappeared, I have “anxiety meds" that knock me out for days. This time, the first knocking out lasted just 14 hours - usually it’s closer to 20. I expect to be in bed in a couple hours, though. (Fun story: the doc prescribed these pills originally to help with school, so I had to take them in the morning before leaving to prevent the panic attack… well… it is true that I don’t panic while I’m asleep.)
I don’t understand how Tumblr works. Why do you guys care? I just reblog gifsets like everyone else. D: I love you. Thank you so much.
