Il nuovo firmware dell'accoppiatore multimediale supporta la segmentazione delle linee in ETS 6 e consente il semplice retrofit di sistemi esistenti con componenti RF. In questo modo, i componenti KNX-RF possono essere utilizzati in modo flessibile, indipendentemente dalla topologia.Mediante l'isolamento della sottorete è possibile limitare la programmazione dei segmenti. Inoltre, il proxy di sicurezza consente una comunicazione sicura nel segmento RF e l'inoltro delle informazioni decifrate ai dispositivi TP esistenti.Le estensioni tramite segmenti con nuovi dispositivi possono comunicare nel segmento completamente crittografato e allo stesso tempo condividere le informazioni con i dispositivi esistenti non crittografate.

Thebes, known to ancient Egyptians as Waset, was a city on the eastern bank of the Nile and the capital of Egypt during the Middle and New Kingdom periods. Wer ist eigentlich Theben?
Theben ist eine deutsche Firma mit Sitz in Haigerloch, die 1921 unter der Bezeichnung Lydia gegründet wurde. Ihr Gründer Paul Schwenk liebte Elektrotechnik und widmete sein Leben der Entwicklung nützlicher elektrotechnischer Geräte für den häuslichen Gebrauch und für Betriebe.
Sein berühmtester Coup gelang ihm 1900 mit der Entwicklung von ELPA, einem Automaten, der die Treppenbeleuchtung nur dann einschaltete, wenn jemand die Treppe benutzte.
Die Machtergreifung durch die Nazis dämmte seine Aktivität ein und er musste sich als überzeugter Antinazist vor den Nazis verstecken. Daher verlegte er den Sitz seiner Firma von Stuttgart nach Haigersloch.
Nach seinem Tod im Jahre 1944 übernahm sein Sohn das Geschäft und baute die Firma aus. Dieser Erfolg ermöglichte die Erweiterung der Tätigkeit über das Bundesgebiet hinaus.
Was stellt Theben heute her?
Den Schwerpunkt der Tätigkeit bilden heute Systeme zur Steuerung von Licht und Heizungsanlagen. Außerdem können die Systeme von Theben auch die Anwesenheit des Haus- oder Bürobesitzers simulieren, während er in der Tat abwesend ist. Außerdem stellt die Firma Systeme her, die die Qualität der Luft im Gebäude kontrollieren.
So wird die Vergiftung der Menschen im jeweiligen Raum verhindert. Auch wer nach sparsamen Heizungssystemen sucht, wird bei Theben fündig. Unabhängig davon, was für ein System der Kunde kauft, kann er sicher sein, dass er die beste Qualität erhält.
