Theater of the Absurd is a movement that emphasized a nonsensical scope on the concept of human existence. It is heavily tied with existentialism, which is the exploration of human meaning. Characteristics of this style include repeated and disjointed dialogue as well as being wholly illogical. I feel as though these attributes are emphasized by the repeated purple flowers. The image of the young boy in formal and darker clothing, sitting in a bright and flowery field on top of a nonrealistic chair captures the existential aspect that is also married to this style.
