Should I learn to sing before doing musical theatre??

GAYS THE PLAY WENT GREAT!!!!! It seriously went SO much better than I expected, our acting teacher teared up!!! We were SO good on stage, our parents cried!!! Truth be told, the play was rather heavy emotionally, so there's that lol. And I had volume!!! Idk how I did it, but I screamed my lines and my words were clear!!! My family who were sitting in the back heard me, which was great!!! Even my uncle (who's an experienced actor and is very involved in the field of theater and acting) told me I did great!!! Ah, I'm so happy!!!

Y'all, guess what!!! The stories we have adapted into our play in my acting class have never been adapted before! Like, our theater team is the first to ever turn these into a play! The author (who will be watching perform it on stage tomorrow and just so happens to be our acting teacher's old university professor) wants to publish the stories and in her book she will make an honorary mention of our theater team. <3

Shout-out to the guy in my acting class who thought we were playing in a completely different theater on the other side of the city and finally arrived around two hours later. What the fuck man. The theater's name was in the email. And we've discussed it in class every other Saturday. You're so lucky you didn't forget the wheelchair.

Today we had a technical rehearsal at the theater we'll play at (basically a rehearsal where the technicians try to figure out the lights and sounds and shit). The stage wasn't as bad as I thought it would be, ngl. It's manageable! But tell me why and how that one guy that had one of the most important props and a lead character at the very first part thought that we would be at a completely different theater on the other side of town? Like, the rehearsal was for 160 minutes (2 hours and 30 minutes) and he arrived at the last 45 minutes. He thought the stage's name was the theater's name. And it's not like we never mentioned the theater's name. Our acting teacher was speechless, which in itself spoke louder than her yelling would. But yeah. Anyway. Technical rehearsal went fine! The lights are pretty. Let's just hope it's gonna go fine at the actual play this Sunday (it won't. They're gonna mess up bc 160 minutes are nothing. They did last year. It's inevitable).
