After months of procrastinations and taking my time reading, I finally finish reading the 3rd and final book of #hisdarkmaterials by @philippullmanofficial For a while, the northern lights or #thegoldencompass was my favorite of the series and it still is for being the first novel that got me into the series, but #theamberspyglass has now become my all-time favorite of the his dark materials. Ik it took me a while to finish this but I feel that maybe me taking so long reading may have been because deep down I was afraid to finish the series because of how much I was loving the books đ I feel the writing is the best that Phillip has written. It really made me very invested and wanting to continue reading. I love the characters and feel that they sort of got the ending that they deserve (except Lyre and Will). The only problems I have is I wish the book was separated in parts like the first book just so I have an easier time to finish the book but I do love that this is the longest book in the series. I still feel sad about Lyre and Will's ending. I'm not gonna spoil it but I wish they both have a good ending together after the whole conflict they both endure. But I do feel the ending to the series is, not satisfying to me, but unique and feel alright about it. I highly recommend this book and the series in a whole. If you want a great trilogy better for giving childlike wonder but dark elements, give His dark materials a read. You won't regret it. I give The Amber Spyglass 5/5 stars đ and the series 5/5.
