Welcome to my first official #wellnesswednesday post. *remember I am no expert, simply extremely passionate about wellness and helping others feel amazing. Both these things I’m sharing with you today have been recommended to me by numerous practitioners that I know and trust. ✨ 1. Dry brushing 2. Hot - Cold showers ✨ Some benefits include… -improved immunity and circulatory systems -boosts lymphatic system which helps with removal of toxins -reduces inflammation -improved metabolism and fat loss -boosts energy -it’s said to have some cosmetic benefits like clearer skin and reduction of cellulite -boosts testosterone and improves fertility ✨ Hot- cold showers (also known as hydrotherapy if you want to be fancy) are like the quick, free version of those sexy European spas where they have hot pools, saunas and a cold plunge to alternate between. Now you can give yourself a mini dose of that every day for free in the shower…boom! ✨ There are different ways this can be done, but one way is… 1. Start with hot, about as hot as you can handle for roughly a minute and a half. 2. Then switch it to as cold as you can handle for 30 seconds. 3. Repeat 3-5 times Truthfully I often only make time to do a cold blast for 30 seconds at the very end of my shower. I’m of the mindset, some is better than none. If I feel like I’m coming down with something or just wanting to give myself extra love, I’ll do the full treatment. For those of you who are scared of the cold, in her book #the5secondrule @melrobbinslive says she just puts her arm in the cold and that’s enough for her. While you’re not going to get the full health benefits from that, it might help you wake up and maybe eventually you’ll get you’re whole body in, one wimpy limb at a time ;) ✨ And as far as dry brushing goes, I’m a big fan.
