When we last saw Bea Miller (known as the more formal “Beatrice” at the time), she was sobbing her little eyes out on a Thanksgiving-night elimination episode of The X Factor Season 2. (Worst. Thanksgiving. Ever.) But now, a little less than two years later, Bea finds herself with much to be thankful for.

Now a 15-year-old Instagram sensation and budding pop-rock star, the more grown-up but sassy-as-ever Bea is signed to Hollywood Records, in conjunction with Simon Cowell’s Syco label. Her debut EP Young Blood just went to #2 on the iTunes Pop Charts and #64 on the Billboard 200, and with a full album forthcoming, the future is looking bright for the artist formerly known as Beatrice.

Citing hard-charging influences like Nirvana and Taylor Momsen’s Pretty Reckless as influences, Bea Miller isn’t your typical reality-show singer or child star, but that’s what makes her so awesome. Bea recently stopped by Yahoo Music, sporting an ice-blonde choppy bob, grungy plaid, and badass Doc Martens, and she rocked for us, acoustic-style. And she proved she really does have the “X factor,” even if it won’t be long before she’s made a name for herself outside of Simon Cowell’s old show.

Just when you thought it was safe to go back in the Thames water… Jedward have returned. With sharks and chainsaws.

Let’s backtrack for a moment. Unless you’ve been living under a giant oceanic rock, then you know Sharknado 3: Oh Hell No! premiered on SyFy last night. But even if you watched, you may have missed the “acting debut” by infamous X Factor U.K. twins, Eurovision finalists, and Tara Reid BFFs, Jedward.

Here’s their cameo again, on a convenient loop for your repeated viewing delight. It was so brief, it was easy to fit all of it into this six-second Vine:

Yep. That’s it! How are Jedward going to win an Emmy now? But thankfully, John and Edward Grimes didn’t get eaten during their cameo, so while we’re all still waiting to find out what happens to Reid’s character (#AprilLives or #AprilDies?), we know that #JedwardLives. So there’s always a chance that they’ll get to sink their teeth into a meatier role in Sharknado 4. It's rumored they might even make soundtrack music with their Sharknado co-star, David Hasselhoff.

Despite their tragic lack of Sharknado screentime, Jedward, marketing and PR geniuses that they are, milked the opportunity for all it was worth, doing loads of hilarious promo across the pond for SyFy U.K. Their best stunt? Racing a shark boat across London’s Thames River while wielding chainsaws, rapping their Sharknado theme song “Oh Hell No” (plus a “Ghostbusters” interpolation), and basically stirring up their own Jednado. And miraculously, they didn’t even mess up their perfect, sharkfin-like hair.

Oh hell YES. Jedward lives, all right. These guys are truly living the dream.

Jedward Talks St. Patrick?s Day and ?Sharknado 3?

Happy St. Jedward?s Day! Yes, infamous X Factor U.K. alums Jedward (aka John and Edward Grimes, aka the ?double divas of Dublin?) are back, and they?re here at Yahoo this St. Paddy?s Day to discuss their upcoming music, their favorite Irish celebration traditions, and ? here?s a real cause for celebration ? their upcoming roles in SyFy?s Sharknado 3 alongside Bo Derek, Jerry Springer, and their friend Tara Reid. 

Yes, that is actually happening. While the twins can?t reveal too much about their involvement just yet, they did exclusively tell Yahoo Music?s Reality Rocks that, unlike many of the film?s other characters, they do NOT get killed off? thus allowing them to come back for Sharknado 4, of course.
