Six years after Praimfaya and the birth of your daughter, Four years after the Dark year.

You stood beside Miller watching Lily play with some other kids.

“You gonna tell him?” He asked.

You wanted to. For six years you imagined telling Bellamy about your daughter, but now you weren’t sure. Things were different. You were different. The people who had opened the bunker put you on edge. You didn’t trust them and you hadn’t even spoken to Bellamy yet. You needed to talk to him before you decided.

“Not yet.”

“Well, he’s coming over here.” He was looking behind you. Your eyes widened.

“Can you-”

“I’ll keep her away while the adults are talking.”

He walked away, and you smiled. You and Miller hadn’t always gotten along, but he stood by you and Octavia all these years. After Octavia, he was your closest friend.

“Y/n?”

You let out a sigh before turning around. You had seen him in the bunker, but it had been from a distance. He let his hair grow out

You knew you looked different. Your hair was long and braided, war paint decorated your face, and you were wearing armor. Your training had strengthened your muscles. You didn’t look like Skaikru much less the girl he remembered.

“Hi, Bellamy.”

He pulled you into his arms and you allowed yourself to relax. But something was off. He didn’t hold you the same way. It was like he was keeping a secret.

“We need to talk,” you said.

“Yeah. We do.”

You were interrupted by yelling coming from the courtyard and ran over.

You moved to Octavia’s side as Bellamy tried to contact Raven. Bonka fired a blast towards the two of you but a member of Wonkru, _, jumped in front of you to block the blast. You were both thrown backward onto the ground.

You could hear yelling, but couldn’t make out any words because of the loud ringing in your ears. You looked to your side and saw Octavia holding her head, but she seemed uninjured. It felt like everything was spinning. You felt a hand on your back and looked up to see Miller.

“Where’s L-

“She’s with Niylah.”

He helped you to your feet, and you saw Octavia standing with Indra’s help. You followed as they stopped in front of Bellamy. “I trusted you. This is your fault.”

“Bloodreina,” Miller said. “What do we do now?”

“Now, we go to war.”

You followed behind them leaning on Miller for support.

“Y/n-”

“Later Bellamy.

You were inside the tent with Octavia planning your attack when Clarke and Bellamy stormed in with Miller behind them.

You rolled your eyes when Cooper spoke. “Miller your orders were to-”

“I know my orders. I think we should listen to what Clarke has to say.”

“You can’t take the sea route,“ Clarke said.

“Why? You said the sea is gone. Is it passable or not?”

“Yes, maybe. But you have to understand.”

“Maybe’s good enough for me,” Octavia said. “Let’s move out.”

Bellamy stepped in front of her and reached out his arm. Everyone in the room raised their weapons. Out of instinct, even you pulled your gun. Octavia game the command to stand down and you all put your guns down.

“Please, O, just hear us out,” he said.

“Octavia we’re all on the same team. No one wants to get to that Valley more than me. It’d my home, but this is way too risky.”

“Risky how?” Indra asked.

“You chose the shortest route, which makes sense, but the dry seabed is hit by almost constant sandstorms.”

“We have the tents from the second dawn,” you said.

“Sand won’t be a problem. It’s not just sand. Some of it crystallized in Praimfaya. I’m talking shards of glass like razor blades. Your tents will be torn to shreds and so will you.”

“We can only carry rations for 7 days,” Cooper said. “The sea route will take 6. The next shortest path adds 50 miles. That’s two days if we’re lucky.

“How do we know there won’t be sandstorms on the longer routes?” Indra asked.

“Enough,” Octavia said. “We’re doing this. The hydro farm is barely feeding us now, so if this is the last living valley on earth, then it should be ours.”

“Diyoza thinks the same thing,” Bellamy said.

“And so we fight.”

You followed Octavia out of the room to prepare to leave. Octavia went with you to see Lily. You went to your room and saw Niylah sitting with her reading through a book.

“Nomon!” She ran over and jumped in your arms when she saw you.

“Hello darling,” you said. “Are you having fun.”

“Nylah brought me new books.”

You smiled before sighing. “Lily, listen. Me and Octavia have to leave for a few days.”

“Where are you going?”

“We’re going to find our new home,” Octavia said.

“Can I come?’

“Not this time, but we’ll be back soon.”

“Ok,” she said with disappointment in her tone. “What am I gonna do while you’re gone?”

“You could stay with me,” Nylah said. “I’m sure we could find something fun to do.”

“Y/n,” Octavia said. You sighed knowing it was time to leave.

You hugged her and placed a kiss on her head. “Ai hod yu in.”  

“Ai hod yu in.”

You stepped away and Octavia walked forward and hugged her. “Stay safe. We’ll be back soon.”

You left and joined the rest of the army.

Later that night you sat around a fire with other members of Wonkru.

“Omon gon oson,” Octavia said before passed your rations.

“Your brother loves you, Octavia,” Indra said.

“Love is weakness.”

You looked over to where Bellamy sat with Clarke. You wanted to tell him about Lily, but something seemed off. It was like he was hiding something from you.

“Help!” You heard Miller yell. “We need help!”

“Miller, what is it?”

“Medic! We need help! It's Obika!”

You stood and ran over to them.

“Are we under attack?” Octavia used.  

“I don't know what's wrong! Please! Hurry! Someone help him!”

“Out of my way,” Clarke said. “I can help.”

“Not you,” Cooper said.

Obika stopped moving and laid in the sand.

“Octavia.”

“Let her in.”

Clarke knelt down an checked his pulse. “He's alive, but his heart's racing.”

“What the hell happened out there?” Octavia asked.

“We separated to cover more ground. Then I hear him screaming out that they're everywhere. Then I get to him and there's nothing. It's just more screaming and-”

He stopped talking when you all saw something poke out of Obika's stomach.

“There's something inside him.”

You all moved him into the tent and kept everyone else out.

“Put him on the table. Help me get his jacket off.”

You helped Clarke remove the jacket as fast as you could.

“Clarke, what is this?” Indra asked.  

“I don't know.”

“Miller, tell us exactly what happened.”

“Nothing happened. We stopped to eat. Then we separated again. Next thing I knew, he was screaming.”

“Your rations. Show me.”

“Nothing's wrong with our rations.”

As they argued you watched Bellamy look at Obika's leg.

“Wait.” He pulled up the pant leg to show a small hole with blood around it.  “Look.”

“It came from the sand,” Clarke said. “We have to go back.”

“No.”

“Octavia, he told Miller that they were everywhere.”

“But Miller didn’t see anything,” you said.

“Everywhere could mean everywhere inside him. I agree with Blodreina,” Cooper said.

“What a surprise.”

You resisted the urge to roll your eyes, but couldn’t help smiling at Indra’s comment.

“We march on at first light,” Octavia said.

“And Obika?”

“If he's not better by then I'll end his pain myself.”

A few hours later you noticed the clouds rolling in. The storm was getting closer. Octavia’s announcement that you would keep moving was met with disagreement.

“Keep moving? Thanks to you, we’re stuck between razor-blade winds and burrowing, parasitic bugs.”

“Thanks to you, we’re at war, Bellamy,” you snapped.

He looked at you in shock before replying. “Only if you insist on fighting it.”

“Fight or die. That’s all there is. You don’t understand,” Octavia said. I get it because you’re not one of us.”

“Is Obika one of you? Hmm? Because you’re about to end his life like he means nothing. I understand that.”

“Show some respect,” a soldier said.

“Easy, I’d stop if I were you.”

Obika started screaming, and you all ran into the tent. You held him down and watched in horror as a parasite broke through his skin and launched itself at Octavia. You ran to her side when she fell to the ground. You moved her into a tent and helped hold her down as Clark cut into her arm. You listened as Monty called and warned you about missiles. After arguing with Bellamy and Clarke about what to do, you helped Octavia stand and leave the tent.  

You all moved into the sandstorm. Wonkru formed a barrier that shielded Octavia from the storm. She had pulled you to the middle with her despite your arguments. You sat at Octavia’s head blocking any glass that might get past the others and held pressure to her arm.

When the sun had risen, and the storm passed, you laid next to Octavia and Indra in the sand. You had a few cuts, but many others had worse.

You looked over at Clarke who was looking after Indra. She was coughing and you could hear a wheezing sound coming from her chest.

“What’s wrong with her?” Octavia asked. “Is it a worm?”

“I don’t think so. I’m guessing there’s glass in her lungs. We gotta get her back to Polis.”

“Bloodreina, there’s 11 dead,” Miller said walking over to you. “12 including Obika.”

“Take their weapons and their armor. Leave the bodies.”

“Leave them?” Cooper asked.

“There’s no time. The enemy can see us. Sound the retreat.”

“Prepare to move out!”

Clarke checked on Octavia’s wound. “Damage to the muscle should be minimal, but we’ll know more in a few days.”

“Thank you for saving my life.”

Bellamy walked over and kneeled beside Octavia. “You saved ours. You were right. Wonkru is strong. Just like their leader.”

“I’m glad you’re alive, big brother.” She pressed a kiss to his cheek then placed a hand on each side of his face. “But if you ever speak out against Wonkru again, then you are an enemy of Wonkru. And you are my enemy.”

You heard a sound and looked up to see a rover coming towards you. A little girl got out and ran towards you. Clarke stood up and ran to meet her.

Bellamy walked towards Echo who had gotten out of the rover as well. You watched as they hugged but then he pulled back and kissed her. You felt an ache deep in your chest and blinked back tears.

Taking a deep breath, you pushed away those feelings and turned to Octavia keeping our face blank. She looked as angry as you felt. The spy had almost killed her. She removed her glare from the two and looked at you.

“Are you alright?”

“I’m fine,” you said. “We’ve got more important things to worry about.”

You were walking through the halls of the bunker when you heard footsteps behind you.

“Y/n,” Bellamy called. “Y/n stop.”

He grabbed your arm, but you ripped it away.

“Don’t fucking touch me!”

“Just listen.”

“I don’t want to hear anything you have to say.”

“Please Y/n you don’t understand,” he said.

“No, you don’t understand.”

“These past few years were hard. And we-”

“Damn it, Bellamy, I was pregnant!”

You both froze after the words left your mouth. You hadn’t meant to say it. But you were angry.

“What?”

“I was two months along when Praimfaya came.”

“What happened? Did you…”

“We have a daughter. Her name is Lily.”

Why didn’t you tell me?” He asked.

“I don’t trust you anymore Bellamy.”

“Echo has nothing to do with me meeting our daughter.”

“That’s not why and you know it.”

“Then explain why.”

“You don’t understand us. I’ve been down in this damn bunker fighting every day to survive and raising our daughter.”

“You think we had it easy?” You could tell he was getting angry.

“You did. You had seven people to take care of Bellamy. One of those people being Monty who kept you all alive. Me and Octavia had 1200 people to take care of. We’ve had to do unspeakable things in order to survive,” you said. “And I see how you and Clarke look at us. I won’t have you look at her that way.”

“Does she even know about me?”

You scoffed. Of course, he would think that.

“She does, but you’re not meeting her until I’m sure it’s not going to hurt her.”
