I'm so sick of these lifetime movies and these wild ass plot twists, this shit be twisted as hell and overkill af.
Hey! Do you like dead children? No? Good! You really shouldn't. What you SHOULD like, though, is The Wrong Child, by Barry Gornell (who I am in no way shape or form related to, no sir), available to buy in hard copy or kindle. It's got way more dead children than most books, thereby making it scientifically demonstrably more dramatic and upsetting. Seriously. This book is horrible. Really nasty stuff. It's amazing. Plus, y'know, it's not very long, which is a plus.
(No, but seriously, my uncle wrote a book and it's really really fucking good. It's incredibly nuanced and grippingly atmospheric and manages to incorporate all manner of heartache and tragedy whilst remaining utterly grounded and compelling. You should buy it. Buy it. Buy it. And then tell other people to buy it. Buy it. Buy it.)

But it's okay..."

R.E.M. - The Wrong Child
Now that I think about it, my childhood was a lot like the song "The Wrong Child" by REM. Or at least in my interpretations (there can be multiple, and I hope I'm not too far off from what it's about): I was always the weird, negative child who got left behind (so negative, in fact, that I knew in 1st grade that I wouldn't get married). I wasn't happy and as naive as most children are expected to be.
