(Again not a super deep dive, but more like an observation of his role within the story.)

I'm gonna be honest, the history of Penacony and it's story within the game makes me ponder a lot of questions IRL.

Misha is essentially... A revolutionary.

He was one of the leaders of a successful revolution, and I'm glad that the liberation of Asdana didn't stop there.

It's really incredible if you think about it.

His life's work has shaped the whole culture and identity of an entire planet and I've always been fascinated by the dynamics between art and capitalism.

Art shapes the heart and soul of a nation, and money is the fuel that keeps it alive. Whether we like it or not, the growth of art is dependent on whether people are willing to invest resources on it.

And invest in it, Penacony did!

So much so that Clockie and his friends are practically a symbol of the planet.

There's something quite sad and heartbreaking of your hopes and dreams being turned into a mere commodity, but in a way being commodified also cemented it's future legacy?

Time will eventually warp the figures in a story, and I do think the truth behind Misha the Watchmaker and Clockie and his friends will eventually be worn away...

But at the same time, the truth of Penacony's history is hidden in the core structure of Clockie's story. No matter how much time passes, so long as the core of it remains, perhaps the truth of Penacony will just remain hidden until there are people who are willing to seek it for themselves.

As someone who creates and studies art, and it doesn't just apply to me I think, the hardest part of presenting your creations to the world is making peace with the fact that people will probably not interpret your art the way you want them to. And you can't do anything about it because it's not your right to police the way people think.
