It was nice.

But that's all it was, just....nice.

We met at a coffee shop in the West Village, which was super cute. I was actually there an hour early because it was kind of by my office, so I sat down with a nice cup of tea, read a book and just enjoyed the downtime.

He was really handsome. And a gentleman. And we talked typical first date talk. Conversation actually started picking up and then the barista announced that they'd be closing early tonight. We walked to the train station together and hugged goodbye.

And that was that. No butterflies. No "I hope he texts me again" or "Why didn't he kiss me?" Just another mediocre date.

Still working on figuring out what to do with Short Stack. I know doing The Fade is wrong (and I HATE when people do it to me), but I'm immature and don't like confrontation or discussing feelings.

So, I've got a date with a new dude on Friday. He randomly started chatting with me one night like a week ago on OkC. For whatever reason, I assumed I'd never hear from him again.

Well, I was wrong. We chatted again tonight, and we're grabbing coffee on Friday. I don't really understand what he does (a technologist?), but I know he lives on Wall Street, he has a name I can't pronounce and we are a 21% match....but I think that's because he hasn't answered many questions.
