#the fade

Shortly after DAI came out I wrote a comic script and did some rough doodles. Then I put it down and forgot about it. About five years later I picked it up again and went "hm, actually, this isn't the worst", did some edits and tried again. And then uh... I put it down again. 10 years later, it's done, having spent as long in development hell as DAV. Ahem. Have some Hawke adventures in the fade, post-being left there in DAI. And also my tears because I had to look at close ups of spiders again.

Day 5- The Fade | Spirits | Bone Saw

"Are all elves spirits somehow?.. Am I a spirit?"

"Darling, you are no more spirit than anyone else in this room."

Bryn's perception of the world has been a bit different while growing up in Nevarra. But she definitely freaked out a little bit after learning the information about the Evanuris. Maybe in another life she could have been a spirit?

I think this one has been my favourite of the week in terms of concept idea. I really love the idea that elves came from spirits, and how groundbreaking that would be for elves and half-elves like Bryn.

The Lighthouse is literally Solas’ main base.

Whatever he needed, he could just think it, and it would show up.

Why the fuck is the Lighthouse so NOT THE FADE in its overall design?!?!?!

Did the developers get brain damage and forget the established lore?

And on another note, I know I’m not misremembering because during Emmrich’s first companion quest, when you’re stuck IN THE FADE, all you have to do is think about a candle, and it pops up in front of you.
