INTRODUCING JJK!VAL. 1 GRADE // 3RD YEAR.
Yumeiji Clan : An esoteric clan that once had similar power and position to the three great clans - Zen’in, Kamo and Gojo though that influence has waned over time due to heirs becoming infertile. jjk!Val’s father was a highly favored clan heir has he both inherited the clan’s technique and could sire children. JJk!Val’s mother is a Mexican-American historian studying archived records of Catholicism when the religion began to enter Japan in 1549. After what was a simple one night stand during her tenure in Japan her mother fell pregnant with Jjk!Val and she was raised by her single mother in Los Angeles.
JJk!Val’s father had a separate wife and sired another son who had managed to inherit the family’s technique but he had died as a first year at Jujutsu High in 2014. Val is sought out by the Yumeji clan with their remaining influence and when they had successfully came to the conclusion she wields not only cursed energy but also the family’s inherited technique they forcefully uproot her from her life in Los Angeles and forced her into being a sorcerer in Tokyo using her mother as a bargaining chip. Her family forced her into a certain type of a binding vow that acts more like a legal contract - a curse, one that endangers her mother’s life should Jjk!Val attempt to not meet their demands. However something that she founds out as she begins to learn about sorcerery is that they will face the same consequences should they try to narrow down the definition of “meeting their demands.” Meaning she is free to act as she pleases and do as she wants as long as she fulfills being a sorcerer. Her character narrative revolves around getting out of this contract and keeping her mother’s life safe and free from the world of sorcerery.
Her uniform doesn’t look like this one to one but she does take inspiration from the look as well as mixing it with her own style. She wears a longer skirt reminiscent of sukeben girls skirts and she has the sign of the cross prayer written in latin on the sides where you see the kanji.
Inherited Technique : Sozoryoku (Power of Imagination)
The user can bring any figure or setting or concept from any written story to life and add or take any aspect they would like to their creation though concentration must be maintained and if the user is knocked unconscious before properly dismissing their creature will suffer an intense draining of cursed energy and could suffer acute injuries such as strokes, seizures and aneurysms. Due to the Yumeji clan’s origins comes from Shinto priests the family’s sorcerers have continuously pulled inspirations from the myths and stories even welcoming Buddhist elements, but because JJk!Val was raised Catholic and as well as a act of rebellion locked she has herself into one of two binding vows that she can only create things from Catholic Imagery - severely limiting the range of things she can create and pull into reality but her creations are the pinnacle of family’s cursed technique because of how much more concentrated her creations are.
The two rules of the technique are more than initially summarized but here they are laid out plainly. The things the user wishes to pull into reality cannot be things thought up of or written by themselves - JJk!Val can only create preexisting concepts ie. she can make a biblical accurate angel but she cannot draw her own version of an angel and make that. The user can only create what has been witnessed by many - if Jjk!Val is the first person to read a catholic creepy pasta she cannot create anything from that until an unknown sum of people have witnessed it first.
JJk!Val currently uses her cursed technique in 2 main ways, one she constantly cycles through 9 stages everyday until she sleeps for more than 5 hours, then the cycle is reset until she wakes up again. Even if she completely journeys from the first ring to the last, if she cannot sleep she simply reenters the cycle again. This means when she is asleep that is the most vulnerable she ever is. And second she creates multiply shikigami as anything that she creates made from cursed energy and gives sentient thought too is deemed one.
The Cycles.
Taking inspiration from the book Dante’s Inferno Jjk!Val sees her soul as Dante, wandering the circles of hell to reunite with the one he loves most (in JJk!Val’s place its her mother not Beatrice) and each layer gives her a different ability that lasts for 9 minutes which after those are complete she enters the next circle. Her weapon is a cursed tool bow staff that acts like a lightning rod for cursed energy as it can be absorb however much the sorcerer puts into it without breaking, it can however can be broke, burned or smashed by someone one else. The bow staff is used similarly to the Staff of Moses where it is used to conjure biblical miracles (turning the staff into a snake that attacks enemies). Her second binding vow is that when the staff is damaged, burned or broken the cursed energy that was within it now returns to her, boosting her strength considerably.
Circle 1. Limbo
Jjk! Val can freely creature small creatures from the bible to act as her shikigami and has increased parameters of strength, speed and senses. In the 8th minute of her 9 she cannot create any sort of shikigami and any that are created are dismissed even when they are the most needed.
Circle 2. Lust
JJk!Val can control the wind and create things as small as gusts and has huge as typhoons. However she hits the peak of power in the 5th minute before it begins to wind down, she move freely in the air and can manipulate things like air pressure in a 66tf wide and long cone infront of her.
Circle 3. Gluttony
JJk!Val can control snow and hail though finds it difficult to keep it from harming allies. It is her least favorite circle because of it. In the 8th minute in the ring she will develop rapid frostbite the more she tries to use the power of this ring.
Circle 4. Greed
JJk!Val conjures two long webs of melted gold that she can freely manipulate however as the timer winds down the gold hardens making it hard to use as freely. In the 9 minutes and 59th second of her 9 minute timer time the cold metals into the earth, gone without a trace.
Circle 5. Anger
The ground turns into a swamp that she can traverse and fight on top of while her enemies are staggered and suffer limited movement. The water in the swam is laced with cursed energy making it heavier and denser than natural water. As the timer runs out she starts to feel the effect of the water as well. There are additional screaming banshees that appear at once and slowly disappear as the ring’s timer comes to an end.
Circle 6. Hersey
Jjk!Val can control fire and heat without limits though her body begins to take damage in the last three minutes of this ring. Anything she touches either with her hands or that her feet touch she can heat up to the material’s physical limits.
Circle 7. Violence
Jjk!Val has limitless and perfect regeneration and cannot be killed for 3 minutes and 33 seconds of her total 9 minute timer. For the remaining 6 minutes and 66 seconds any blood that she would have lost to her injuries sustained in the first part of the ring’s power is accumulated into a blood shikigami above her head. It takes the shape of a biblical accurate angel with eyes and rings and attacks and defends her until the timer is up. It drips down on the floor, loosing its shape until all is left is a pool of blood.
Circle 8. Fraud
A dark veil appears blocking out all light and is chilling cold. it is 66 feet tall and 66 feet wide. JJ!Val is completely covered the dark and cannot be seen as she attacks whoever is trapped in the darkness. If someone from the outside attempts to break in skeleton sentries appear to guard edges. As the timer turns to 0 these skeleton sentries turn to dust and the dark begins to recede and Jjk!Val becomes visible again.
Circle 9. Treachery.
Jjk!Val’s domain expansion. The pinnacle of her technique and the greatest horror she doom someone too. The space is turned into a frozen wasteland, filled with the frozen over remains and corpses of fallen foes as well as the most treacherous figures in history and myth . The bone-chilling winds pulls the victim forward into the gaping maw of Satan that sits in the center of this domain and they are faced with the same punishment as Judas Iscariot - to have their head chewed in the 3rd and most vicious mouth of Satan and their backs clawed to shreds.
