Pardon if I'm repeating myself here, but... Anyone else think the Loyal Three and Pecharunt were a held-over and/or rejected idea for Gen 7? Their designs don't really match up with most of the new ones for Scarlet or Violet, and Pecharunt itself kinda looks like an Ultra Beast... The battle theme doesn't help me think that any less, either, haha.*
*yeah I know they were going for JAPAN with the music, but swap out a few instruments here and there and it'd totally sound Hawa- I mean ALOLAN. Lemme check if that's been done, actually... Hmm. Not that I see on YouTube, anyway...

So, to answer your question in an earlier ask about where I get those silly ideas, I just think of the stuff I’ve watched or like and I’ll be like: What if I transfer this to the Au ideas? So yeah, it’s honestly just the stuff I like translated to the Au. This is gonna relate to the other questions about Pecharunt having other retainers, being so that given that the Loyal 3 have the brawns brains and beauty between villains, I like to imagine that the rest of the retainers are a separate group of Pokémon that are their category, they have 2 main design tropes:
They have the number 8 in their design somehow, or they have cultural perspectives of the number 8
They have a villain trope in their design or attributes or they are based humanity’s potential downfalls.
Also, just as a bonus, I actually have some ideas mainly using Mario’s Madness Characters as prompts and then loosely base them on. My main design process was thinking of new powers and trade offs and then discussing the types, I have some ideas, do you wanna hear it later?
