#hard lesson i’m learning is in order for relationships to last you have to take up their time. you have to be involved in their life #they have to spend their time on you when they could be doing something else because it is important that they help you #it is important that you involve yourself #you have to make yourself matter #i also like to think the ‘rotten work’ quote can be interpreted to match this #‘rotten work’ implies no benefit no reason for trying #but there is always a reason you should try for someone #if it turns out they don’t work for you that’s how you’ll learn #and if they do work then you’ll have helped
