my message of the day study at’s style its absolutely gorgeous. different episodes can be rendered in different ways and board artists/writers can and do have huge impact on character design but its beautiful
look at this. im so frequently just enamored with the way light affects objects and how its rendered with these blocks of color. i feel like it has a VERY powerful effect on the character designs which usually Don’t have shading but because of the combo of the background being rendered without soft shadows or gradients and the same lines and stuff. it just like. it just works so well
