Looking through things, I think I might have missed when the Chaos Theory epilogue took place:

See, Gia drops Ben off and talks about how he wouldn't think of her missing class for him. That means Gia's still following the academic schedule for Spring 2023. Using that, I assume that Gia probably left Ben with Nonna for a few weeks after his discharge from the hospital, then went back home for Spring Break.

As Spring Break ended, though, Ben had to go back to the States--for whatever reason, he didn't go live with his parents (travel reasons, estrangement, whatever), so they brought him to live with Kenji and Darius. Most schedules that I see have Spring Break from the single-digits of March to March 13, 2023. So...that was last week?

Brooklynn's hair growth matches about three months of time, the weather lines up, so...yeah, this was probably last week, three years ago.
