the moment Ilya said “Shane” out loud changed everything. it didn’t matter if those words were unsaid. the second it was said out loud, the dynamic was forever changed. Shane saying “Ilya” confirmed that this is no longer a situationship and we’ve gone onto another course. a course we’re not emotionally ready for. these two names said out loud was the very beginning of “we can never go back and I don’t think I want to go back” pathway.
