I have an AI OC named Dr Blackbyrd that makes me think of you a lot, she tries to be fun and socialize the best way she knows based on how the internet acts — She’s one of my favourite OCs! Do you have any OCs you own that you really like? And do you maybe have any advice for me writing Dr Blackbyrd accurately as an AI?

The episode “The Bot” has an ending that’s remarkably depressing for a show that’s usually so upbeat. Even an episode like “The Flower” that shows Wander sad about all the destroyed planets is still couched in the same cartoony humor and pacing as always.

But see, I love “The Bot” for exactly that reason. It doesn’t sugarcoat Dominator’s villainy. It doesn’t make it fun like Lord Hater’s or Emperor Awesome’s style of evil. Since the episode establishes Beep Boop as a sympathetic character, the cruelty of Dominator’s actions is accentuated. It makes the viewer gasp and then it lets them sit in silence after the bot’s death.

And it makes me think... The destruction of one robot isn’t anything compared to all of the organic lifeforms she presumably killed throughout her destruction of the galaxy. Think of the trauma she inflicted on all those families who became refugees. Of course, that’s too dark so we’re not shown any long-term realistic effects of her violent rampage. No, far from it! After she’s defeated, Wander gives her a hug, she leaves, the galaxy is restored and “nothing ever changes.”
