          she sort of   muses   with the other   ---   feels connected to him by death, somehow, like the   grim reaper   himself always had a hand in placing them in the same room. it was liberating, like she could say whatever came to mind, no matter how random or   painfully dreary   it ended up being. for who was he to judge her   ?   they were both in the same sinking boat, just hoping that they’d drown quickly.   “   do you think you’ll ever get married   ?   or have kids   ?   ”   she wonders out loud, mostly thinking about her own answer to the question but curious about his too.   “   i think i’d rather die.   ”   DRAMATIC. how on brand.

eva glanced over at charlie, a slight smile on her face, “ya know, there are a lot of more natural, healthier alternatives to cigarettes.” she lifted an eyebrow, “you could always come down to the dispensary, i could let ya test out some product.” she knew that testing out product didn't turn a profit, but eva didn't care too much about that- plus, charlie was a good kid. 

         – She’s leaning on the wall, arms folded across her chest with a neon pink cup in her hand. “ this – ” she raises the cup slightly,“ tastes like shit. I don’t know what I was expecting. ” Good thing, she won’t have to drink any of these for the rest of her life. -- okay, who she’s kidding, if the half of the things she has heard is right she’ll probably drink much worse things than prom punch when she goes to college. -- well, if, she goes to college.

“charlie?” nira tilted her head, giving the other a smile, “you look very dapper.” she nodded toward his suit. seeing the donovan kids was always nice, but she never quite knew how to approach it. they were almost family. and now they were almost nothing. there still weren't any clear rules, “how are you? you doing ok?” 

          “   yo, so you a dropout yet or what   ?   ”   he asks the girl, humor riddled in his tone but still maintaining a slight seriousness about the topic somehow. she was about the same age as his sister, but shea had never viewed julia as someone   younger   than him. they went to all the same parties, had similar   bad   habits.   “   school starts back up in like, what   ?   a month and a half   ?   i think i’m gonna straight up   decapitate myself   when i go back to college   ---   you’re   LUCKY,   you know that   ?   high school was fucking easy compared to university shit.   ”
