Do you think that vegan couple help or harm the vegan movement?
The only things I know about them is that they’re vegan and presumably a couple... Being vegan is good for the environment, but that’s all I can really say. I get asked a lot about the work of youtubers but it’s not something I have ever really followed I’m afraid.

Then we saw their panel and met them at @vegfestla. Two weeks later we saw them and their talk at Oakland VegFest for @oaklandvegweek. We attended their meetup and activism workshop the day after at @nickskitchendc in Daly City. The following day we participated in our first, but not last, @anonymousforthevoiceless Cube of Truth in SF. What an incredible experience. Natasha and Luca were so kind, supportive, and encouraging through the whole process (even taking pictures with us every step of the way). This is one month I will never forget. No human in their right mind would look at this baby enjoying love and affection, and not be moved in a positive way. And yet, the majority of humans send baby male chicks to their deaths on their first day of life. Baby male chicks are ground up alive because they're "not profitable" to the egg industry. They don't lay eggs and they won't grow big enough, fast enough for meat, so they're murdered. If you think that is wrong, then stop paying for it... stop eating eggs. Every omlette, scrambled, or fried egg you eat, is literally throwing this baby into a grinder. How do you feel about “that vegan couple” people constantly label them elite and aggressive but I think they are really good for the vegan message
I don’t really follow them to be honest, but I’ve never seen anything from them which made me dislike them or their message. Honestly I dislike passing judgement on other advocates, so long as it still advocates animal rights and doesn’t exclude or put off any potential vegans then that’s great, we need to have people from different walks of life who can advocate in places and to audiences that the rest of us can’t.

This is how we were as vegetarians, we had some parts of the puzzle, but it wasn't complete, we weren't seeing the whole picture. ~ We went vegetarian back in 2009 for ethical reasons - we didn't want to kill animals for our food. But back in 2009 we weren't on social media and didn't know that animals are still killed for dairy and eggs. ~ Once we started using social media in 2011, we watched Gary Yourofsky's 'Best Speech You'll Ever Hear' on YouTube, and he put all the remaining pieces of the Rubik's Cube puzzle together for us. ~ Not only did we learn from watching that speech that animals are killed in dairy, egg, and honey production, we also learned about speciesism and all the many other ways we use, exploit, and abuse animals, including for our clothing, entertainment, product testing, pet industries, and more - we made the full connection. ~ Because dairy cows and egg laying hens are all ultimately killed for their flesh, dairy and egg production is more cruel than meat production given that the suffering of dairy cows and egg laying hens is prolonged compared to cattle and chickens bred for meat who are killed at much younger ages. Not to mention that male dairy calves are killed because they don't produce milk and male chicks of egg laying hens are killed because they don't produce eggs. ~ These days everyone has a vegan family member, friend, or colleague who shares vegan information and education on their social media. Ladies, stop your whining and put yourself out there.
