I hope if they ever let Bernard show up in the comics again we get more of him rambling and blurting out stuff without really meaning to, like especially when he's comfortable around someone.
Perhaps his parents often reprimanded him for saying things without much thought because they found it inappropriate so he doesn't just let himself ramble and say whatever as much as he would if his parents had let him be and didn't criticism him all the time for it.
So when he's around Tim, he's most comfortable and will blurt out stuff and often can't stop himself from rambling about things.
