In my game he locked my halfling cleric in the cellar. Fortunately she’s very sweet and after realizing he was a ghost not a robber she left him a note to try and work things out. We have a tentative truce.

You’ve done nothing wrong! I guarantee they would be there no matter what you did, since you probably live in an older building, yes? I had mice in the house I lived in last summer, it’s just like that sometimes. Catch and release isn’t too hard! There are live catch traps that are really easy to use, just bait it with some peanut butter and whenever you catch one, take it to the nearest reasonable release spot. Also they’re cute little fuckers.

oh Dear- speaking as someone who also has mouses in our houses (Literally) they might also be looking for nesting supplies. If you have any hand towels or napkins keep those secure too. If they just want shelter and water there’s little you can do there to discourage them

Depends on the age of the house – my house is very old, and thus, it’s a sieve – but it’s pretty common to get mice coming inside when the seasons change and it gets cold. So it may not be your housekeeping, and they may just want you for your heat!

But these are fair points, and I definitely figure the age of my apartment building (which I do not know exactly, but going by the plumbing is not recent) isn’t doing me any favors. My family had a mouse problem at one point growing up and my parents are both obsessive about cleaning, and we were in a nice and relatively new suburban place, so I know they can get anywhere. I guess it’s just a bit of frustration at the fact that I couldn’t do anything to keep them out!

wait i take that back i wasnt following you apparently (?) i just had a lot of stuff from you on my dash from following snadge and scribe. i'm looking through your blog now though, do you have a tag for the recaps?

the recaps are actually over on our shared campaign blog! this link should allow you to read them in order, although there’s a tiny little hiccup at the beginning because the first two were written by our DM partway through, but towards the beginning, of the campaign. i’d skip over them at first and scroll down to the one that says “previously on the friendship campaign” to get context -- though going back and reading them later would obviously be fine!

i have also tried to link to a lot of the accompanying media we’ve produced where appropriate -- not art, since we make so much of that, but writing and occasionally music, and at least one major prop

I’m also invested, honestly I wish I knew SO MUCH MORE about everyone and about what they’re all doing. Especially Ditto. Tbh if you did recordings I know I for one would listen :)

Recordings aren’t likely just because we like the comfort of improvising and goofing around with people we know, and making recordings we know would be posted publicly would unavoidably add a level of pressure we’d rather not have.
