A whole table filled with food to separate the two.

Who are obviously also in a hotel room, just like in all the other lives that came before.

I guess when you have this 👇👇👇going on when those two are left to themselves sat next to each other:

Then this is what has to happen for them to have a live together:

Lessons learnt, measures taken- separating and having at arms length with a table full of food between them.

And yet, they will find a way to hold hands (I think that at this point we have established that their hand shakes are basically their way to hold hands "inconspicuously").

I digress. They find a way to hold hands and make it into a WTF moment.

And even then, a table full of food between them, keeping them busy eating, they are a giggly mess.

I'm kind of worried now.

As is we don't get a Jikook live often (I mean, it's been almost a year since the last one, and a year since their discharge live - wait, it's exactly a year since their discharge live! Happy anniversary). But even with all lessons leant and obstacles placed between them they are proving they cannot be trusted.

Do we need to? Really? Like at this point, isn't it obvious already. JM had made his stance on the JK's wife or gf or the JK marry me quite obvious, I'd say.

At the same time, they were pretty well behaved.

And for those that are already going: "it's the stylists that make this for them" - seriously? That's what you're going with? Of course JM and JK aren't the ones that are standing there and printing it onto their shirts (I say of course because that's most likely it). Just like it wasn't JK himself writing "my Park filter" on JM's cake (but requesting it be done by whoever does cake decorating), or them printing their own designs onto their collections. But they sure did come up with those designs and those quotes and the way they wanted it to look and how it had to be written (including the damn specific font) etc. So yes, probably staff had it printed on, but who ya think gave them the instructions to do it and how to do it, including the usage of font and bold JM, huh? Father Christmas? They came up with it themselves for the shits and giggles?

Come on now.

I know the answer.

Well, it could be one of three actually.

JM or JK or both together. And whichever of these it was, it was done with both agreeing to do this, be this loud, make this statement.

So either way it's a bold f%^&ing statement.

And may I add, that JM already had ARMY in a heart on his back.

And yet, he had to go with the full on "I just want to let you know once and for all that that J over the M on JK's hand, that stand for JM, you know, just in case you still had any doubts".

Then call them best friends, Becky. Say it. Say that Jimin and Jungkook are connected-at-the-hip-share-a-single-brain-cell-soulmate-level best friends. Just like Jimin and Tae, right? Say it.

Actually, be specific and call them the closest duo in Bangtan, because at a minimum that’s what they are. Like, if you don’t want to say they’re each other’s real life best friend (meaning outside of BTS), at least say that they are closer to each other than they are to any other member — because you can at least acknowledge that, right?

And if you’re so sure they’re “brothers” then celebrate it! Stop pretending it isn’t special, call it a bromance! Ooh and ah over it, like people do when married male actors have a public bromance. Call them the next Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman, the next Woody Harrelson and Matthew McConaughey. (Even if, rather than publicly roasting and joking with each other; they are more often than not sweetly supportive and flirtatiously complimentary…That’s fine, call them a CHEESY bromance).

But nobody will.

It’s either, “ALL SEVEN of them are so close and love each other like brothers” or “Jungkook has such a big crush on Namjoon 🤭” or “vmin are still the closest, they have a song about it!” or “Korean men have skinship in their friendships, shippers are so weird, stop projecting your fantasies” but it’s never “ah, well, season 2 of that soft little show? No one is surprised. As expected from the best friends who enlisted in the military under a rare, special Buddy system. Jikook are jikook. Of course they want to hang out together 24-7.”

People flood to the comments section to (very mildly, with much restraint) praise their bond, but NO ONE will call it the closest in the group, even though it objectively is. Well, no one but a subset of the fandom who immediately get called creeps and weirdos and fetishizers.

No one but shippers will acknowledge their closeness and it’s so obvious why:

Because if you acknowledge their closeness, if you do anything but minimize and ignore it, it starts to look a whole lot like something else.

And people are too homophobic to allow that.

Jungkook and Jimin enlisting together under a Buddy system that no other idols in the same group have ever used shows closeness.

Jungkook and Jimin filming not just one but TWO seasons of a travel show that primarily follows JUST the TWO of them (when they are part of a band of 7) shows CLOSENESS.

Jungkook going to Jimin’s house after a concert to cook him dinner and then the two of them going out the next day to presumably spend White Day together shows CLOSE. NESS.

Jungkook going live in 2023 every time Jimin left town, and mentioning Jimin relentlessly and making him flat out the entire topic of some of the lives shows that Jungkook thinks of him when he’s gone.

Jungkook complaining that he missed Jimin when they were both busy, Jungkook saying he wants to film travel shows with Jimin until they’re 50, Jimin mentioning Jungkook in the letters he posted while enlisted alongside him, Jungkook’s voice giggling from behind the camera while he films Jimin’s dance challenge for him…

Jimin saying if he could take one thing with him to a desert island it would be Jungkook. Jungkook saying if he was a girl he’d want to date a guy like Jimin. Jungkook showing up with a hickey Jimin gave him because they got drunk together and Jungkook wouldn’t stop spinning him in his arms. The same arms he proudly carried Jimin out of a concert with, while Jimin giggled and blushed.

Jason Momoa and Henry Cavill? Tom Holland and Jake Gylenhaal? Selena and Taylor? THEY COULD NEVER.

Everything jikook shows us points to a best-friendness of EPIC PROPORTIONS at the LEAST. They should be the best friend duo that gets talked about the MOST IN BANGTAN. They’re so close locals should know about it. Not Jimin and Hobi. Not Jimin and Taehyung. Not Hoseok and Yoongi. Not Yoongi and Namjoon. Not Jungkook and Jin. Not the maknae line. Jikook have lapped all of them, and they have for years, but ESPECIALLY in the last 3 years.

And in the last two weeks? In the last two/three WEEKS???

If Jungkook and Jimin were a man and a woman the events of the last two weeks would be a HARD LAUNCH, and EVERYONE KNOWS IT.

It is only — I repeat: ONLY — heteronormativity that keeps the majority of ARMY from assuming they are dating. That’s it. That’s literally the only reason anyone in the fandom is even arguing about what they are right now. (Well, that and rival ships, which at this point should really only be referred to as patched-together inflatable rafts).

Call them just best friends. I respect that take! Some people don’t see the romance and tension and affection that I see, and that’s cool! Call them the best of friends.

But for the love of god stop minimizing their closeness. Stop pretending they treat anyone else in the band the way they treat each other. Stop pretending that they’re not choosing each other over and over and over again.

And don’t call them fake, or forced, unless you want to talk about the fact that everything we see about them is official content. Not unless you want to pry open the can of worms that is your parasocial relationship with them and acknowledge the hard truth that you actually don’t know either of them at all.

What has always stood out to me about Jimin and Jungkook isn’t simply that they care for each other. Every member of BTS loves one another deeply, and that much has never been in question.

What fascinates me is the quality of their attention.

There is a difference between affection and fixation. Between fondness and fascination.

When Jimin and Jungkook look at each other, there are moments where the world seems to narrow. The noise fades. The cameras disappear. The members around them cease to be the center of their focus. For a brief second, it feels as though there are only two people in the room.

Not because they love the others any less.

But because the look itself is different.

It is not the playful glance exchanged between friends. It is not the proud smile of teammates celebrating a shared achievement. It is something quieter and, because of that, far more difficult to articulate.

It is recognition.

The kind that comes from knowing someone so thoroughly that entire conversations seem to take place without a single word being spoken.

Their eyes often appear to meet with an almost startling immediacy as if each instinctively knows where the other’s attention will land. And when they do lock eyes, there is frequently a pause. A lingering. A moment where neither seems particularly eager to look away.

That is what captures my attention.

Not the grand gestures.

Not the fan edits.

Not the endless debates.

The pauses.

Because pauses are honest.

People can control their words. They can manage their image. They can perform for an audience. But those fleeting moments when someone’s entire expression softens upon seeing a particular person are much harder to manufacture.

Over the years, I’ve noticed that Jimin and Jungkook often seem to look at one another not as though they are simply seeing a bandmate, but as though they are seeing someone whose presence alone brings comfort, familiarity, and joy.

And perhaps that’s why their eye contact feels so powerful.

It doesn’t seem to be searching for attention.

It seems to be finding home.

Whether others see it or not is beside the point.

What makes it compelling is that admiration of this depth rarely needs words. It reveals itself in the smallest moments the lingering glance, the unconscious smile, the way two people can look at each other in a crowded room and, for a heartbeat, make everything else disappear.

Okay, I wasn't gonna make a post on this initially, but I feel like I kinda have to so someone can snap me out of my deluluness cuz I'm going crraaaaaaaaaazzzzzzzzzzzyyyyy over here.

So BTS's appearance on Jimmy Fallon just aired and during the show, Jimmy asked each member what they missed most about the member to the right of them during their military break. Jungkook and Jimin were on the farthest ends so Jungkook had to say what he missed about Jimin.

And this happened... 🤔

Jungkook said even though he and Jimin served in the military together, at that moment he missed Jimin's Gochujang Stew.

And there is just a lot to say about this but the main thing is...well...

Seriously, for anyone unaware, chili pepper is kinda like a slang term for the male anatomy in Korea and it's no secret. And I knew this mention about the stew was gonna be brought up because of certain tweets that mentioned this before the show aired. I kinda had the thought in the back of my mind that

"Hold on...is he making a sex joke?" 😅

But I instantly pushed it away and said, nah he wouldn't.

And I wouldn't have thought he was IF NOT FOR THEIR DAMN REACTIONS.

Seriously, look at Jungkook's big smile as soon as he says that. Look at how Jimin laughs. Look at the other members and how RM IMMEDIATELY says that Jungkook is talking about cooking. 🤭

But think about it, if Jungkook was actually talking about stew here, why would he be grinning so wide? Why would Jimin pause for a moment then laugh?

Why would Jimin then say he'd cook it for him and they both start smiling like crazy if he was talking about STEW???

I must repeat, look at Jungkook's face after he says that. And look at the members.

Jungkook is smiling so damn wide he looks like his face will freeze.

I know that I am delusional, I own that. 😉 But I fully believe that Jungkook wasn't talking about wanting to eat Jimin's cooking. Especially since we know that Jimin isn't even the better cook between the two.

I think he was talking about eating Jimin's gochu and made a whole ass sex joke and he got away with it due to the lack of cultural understanding. (Though based on the audience reaction, I feel some people may have gotten it). 🫣

And this isn't even that crazy because they've done this so many times before with their "ramen" comments when we ALL know they are not talking about ramen. I fully believe this was just another way for Jikook to low-key make sex jokes and have it fly under the radar.

I am NOT claiming this to be 100% fact so please don't come for me. I'm not Korean so I could be misinterpreting this for sure. But as soon as I saw their reactions, I just had to make a post on this. What do you guys think? Any Koreans out there, please give your input!

Between the neck holding, the eye contact, and now THIS… yeah no, the Gay Gods™ didn’t just bless them, they possessed them.

They're in public. In front of an audience of real and millions of virtual people. In front of my grandma's salad. My breakfast. Their members and staff. My dignity, honor and slowly mending heart.

Mind you, this was before the underwear show. Before the giggles and acknowledgements and secret meals and shared anecdotes and connections. Before the thousanth -and counting- dropping of honorifics as Jungkook shouted JIMIN.

This is clearly their baseline.

A red hot current runs through them and we have to sit here and watch it while, foolishly, trying to make SENSE of it.

And I fail each and every time.

So why bother, frankly.
