sometimes I think of the Brazil episode of gaycation where Ellen and Ian are on the beach, and she asks this pretty girl if she can take her picture. the girl consents and poses and is like laughing and saying something unintelligible as she walks off. and then Ellen fucking Page turns around to face the camera with the goofiest goddamn grin on her face and red cheeks and she has to like very quickly get a hold of herself. and so to do this, she clears her throat, holds up the camera super awkwardly, and says, in an attempt to look cool that does not succeed, “just... gettin’ some pics.” and I really fucking felt that, Ellen.
