This morning's surface map indicates a low-pressure system moving through the Great Lakes, with a cold front extending all the way to Texas. This cold front is expected to stall over the next day or so, becoming the primary area for severe weather across western Texas today and tomorrow. By Friday into Saturday, we can anticipate severe weather affecting much of the southern Ohio Valley, Tennessee Valley, and southern Plains.
